With seemingly half the school at Beauxbatons for Valentine's Day, the library was quieter than normal for a Thursday night. On the eve of the heart-shaped holiday, Della found herself straying from her transfiguration essay and doodling in the margins. She wondered if Professor Perceval-Phelan would mind little hearts floating around her essay on the etymology of the Lapifors spell. Well he would have to because she wasn't doing rewrites.

Her side bag lay open on the chair next to her. Greta, her so-far secret pet snake, rested her head just on the lip of the bag, eyes gently closed, where only Della could see her. Someone would have to stand right over them to spot the serpent.

Gryffindor was probably not focusing on her homework because she was uncertain about what tomorrow would bring. Her goals this year included finding a boyfriend or girlfriend, but so far, she hadn't made major headway. There could still be a surprise lurking around the corner, someone could always sweep her off her feet—or alternatively, she could probably sweep someone off their feet. Given that she was taller than most of the student body at this point, that would probably be easier.

She would have to come to a conclusion tonight, and finish this dang essay.

A shaky breath fell from the Hufflepuff lips as she took a step into the library. Why was she doing this, did she really want that little bit of happiness enough that she would do tasks for some random person in an attempt to get more of that potion? Apparently the answer to that question was yes, she was willing to do the task because there she stood in the entrance of the library, her books clutched tightly in one hand and a letter tucked into the sleeve of her other. Logan was curious about the letter though, she should not question it if she wanted to do this right, but she just couldn't help it. 'No' with a shake of her head she pulled herself back towards the task at hand, she needed to get this done and get out of there.

Logan saw her target almost immediately, the large room of books being unusually quiet because of so many students attending a Valentine's event. At least there would not be too many witnesses to what was about to happen. Pretending that she was in a bit of a rush, the Hufflepuff quickly made her way towards the table, bumping into it and causing multiple books to drop to the ground, including her own.

"I am so sorry!" Logan quickly dropped to the ground to pick up the books, in the process slipped the note from her sleeve and into the cover of one of the other student's books. "I need to watch where I am going." She quietly muttered as she set the books onto the table and sorted hers out, hoping the other student did not see her slipping the note into book.

A large bump to her table caused Della's current heart doodle to smear across the few words she had written for this essay. She had been too lost in her doodles to realize that another person was right beside her.

Della let out a small scream. It was a knee-jerk reaction. She quickly realized the person was just a student who had mildly bumped her table. An older girl; Hufflepuff. Someone she would recognize by face but not by name.

"Oh, sorry, I didn't notice you. I thought I was alone." In response to the girl's apology, she added, "No worries. I was only doodling. Do you need any help with your books?

Della stood up and reached toward the books when she realized that the bag was wide open and Greta was probably sitting right there. It was hard to hide when you were green. Della nervously glanced at her bag; she could only just make out the snake's tail sticking out for the pages of her sketchbook. Della supposed Greta had probably seen the student sooner than she had and made a quick move to hide.

Realizing that she had probably looked at her bag a second too long, she whipped her gaze back toward the older girl. Which was probably also suspicious. So much for playing cool.
