Trolls

December, 2023
indexChristmas was fast approaching. Margaux wasn’t in a hurry. She was going to see all the hypocrisy of her family again. She wasn’t ready for that. If in her first year at Hogwarts she had tried to blend in, to be a Troyler, this year she was tired of it. She received no recognition in return, so what’s the point?
indexHer father’s troll was still moaning after she didn’t know what moldu. For someone who devoted his life to despising them, he talked too much about it! His troll brothers were not there, one playing the fool somewhere, the other having had the courage to refuse this dinner of hypocrites. Margaux admired her for that. She was too young to afford it. And she didn’t have the support of her great-grandparents. As for her troll of mother, Margaux was beginning to understand that she wasn’t the weak woman she thought she was. Perhaps the banquet would be more interesting than in previous years.
'I go out a little.'
indexHis mother gave him this break. So much the better, she did not have the patience to fight anymore. It had been a few weeks since Margaux was 13, and she decided that this birthday would be more important than the previous one. Meaning that she would not let things go the way they used to.
indexWhat was she going to do now? Was she going to survive among the trolls again? Margaux didn’t know anymore. She was one herself, so why struggle? Yet she felt that something had changed in her. She could no longer ignore it.
