Alone With The Thoughts That Circle My Head... And a Book

pick a number 1 through 30
The cool February breeze rustled Madisyn's hair as she made her way into the courtyard, searching for a secluded corner to reside in.
After glancing around for a while, she found the perfect corner. She adjusted her satchel and began making her way over to the small bench.
As she walked, the breeze died down, and a few leaves that the wind was beeping afloat, fell slowly to the ground.
Making herself comfortable on the bench, she dug into her satchel in search of her diary, and her quill. She sat the diary in her lap, and began to write.

It's quite cold here. Although winter was seemingly over a few days ago, it got much colder, and I had to pull out my jumpers once again...
As she thought about her next sentence, she looked up at the sky, hoping to come up with something.
Her parents had told her that she was quite clever, but Madisyn didn't agree. But deep down, she knew she had some smarts in her, or she wouldn't have moved up to the next grade each year.
Once her family moved to England, though, her grades dropped. She struggled to make friends, she struggled in school, and she was different.
Her parents tried to put her in therapy, but being so young, Mady refused. She thought she didn't need it, and only crazy people went to therapy. She never told her parents about her thoughts, because then that would just be another reason why she should go to therapy.
Out of frustration of her memories, she slammed her diary shut, not caring if the ink was even dry. She couldn't stand that memory. That was one of the many memories that made her truly angry.
She opened up her DADA textbook, since she wasn't doing that great in that class, and began to read. She hoped she wouldn't be disturbed by anybody, but she knew it was inevitable, as she was alone with her thoughts and a book.
