Something Funky in the Halls of Beauxbatons

One of the things Maria loved most about her time in Beauxbaton, aside from all the beauty and etiquette and charm, was the music. Music filled every corner of the halls, rooms, and garden. It was infectious! Maria went back to her cabin to change out of her kimono. As prim and proper as she was, sometimes a girl just needed to let her hair down. She changed into blue jeans and a black top and took a look at her basses propped up on their travel stands. There was only one thing to do with such inspiration - join in! Without a doubt, the bass that fit such a grand classic ambiance as Beauxbaton was her peach colored 1961 Fender Heavy Relic Custom Jazz bass. The six thousand dollar bass was her pride and joy and what better way to show it off.Roleplaying as Maria Constança Leung de Almeida from Mahoutokoro - Link to Encyclopedia
She slung her beauty over her shoulder and across her back. Grabbing her travel amp as well, Maria made her way out of the cabin, through the garden, and into a columned open air breezeway overlooking part of the grounds. She sat down on a bench and plugged in her bass. She wrapped up a bit but was immediately hit with muse as she heard a French jazz number echoing the halls. Perfect. The beat was just right and Maria was feeling it. Then came a pause in the music, perhaps it was changing? It didn’t matter, Maria was engrossed.
Nodding to a beat in her head, she accented the music in her head with the audible drum sounds and when she was satisfied with her own rhythm started to slap. She wasn’t the best at it, no where near the likes of professional bassists, but she had enough experience under her fingers she had a few favorites tucked away. Sound that classic slap-pop sound of a sick slap bass solo rang through the hall, welcoming anyone weary or tired to the sound of a funky good time.
