Wand Brooms
John walked excitedly down the halls of Hogwarts on a late weekend morning. He had just woken up from a dream that gave him the most brilliant of ideas. He was so eager to tell someone, he barely got dressed. Though he donned his robe and prefect badge, John was still wearing his pajamas. He didn’t even bother to put on shoes: his bare feet walked all the way from the Hufflepuff Common Room to Professor Falke’s office. He could only hope that the door was open.
And it was!
Without hesitation, John entered the office of the Professor of Flying. The décor gave the feel of a fan shop, with Tutshill Tornado memorabilia lining the walls. John couldn’t say he had ever heard of them prior to taking Flying, but he never mentioned it. Besides, if his idea came to fruition, quidditch as the wizarding world knew it would become a thing of the past. Without gazing too long at the décor, John made a beeline for the chair facing the desk. He didn’t even wait to make sure the professor was in the room before speaking.
“Professor, professor, professor!” John began, not stopping to catch his breath. “We’re gonna be rich!”
It was at this point that the student cleared his throat and took a moment to calm down. Calm was a relative term, however.
“I’ve got two words for you: wand brooms. They’re giant wands that you ride on! Imagine, any sport involving brooms could be spiced up with the spells coming out of these things! The effects would be huge! It'd be like...”
John then proceeded to take his forefingers from both hands and pretended they were two brooms. His fingers dashing about over his face, he was reenacting a dogfight he had seen in a Star Wars movie. John even began humming the music, taking breaks for the intermittent "pew pew" sounds.
