It's quite interesting here. I've made a few friends, but all the others seem to be in their own friend groups already. I'm fine with that though, because the friends I've made will suffice.
Thanks to Linnéa, in the past few days, I've learned that you don't have to be perfect to be good.
Everyone that I've come across has told me that I have a great personality. It's nice to get compliments and all, but I wish they were from my mother. I miss spending days at home in the kitchen with her, baking our favorite chocolate chip cookies.
And I miss playing with my sister so my mom could have dinner ready by the time our father came home. He spent most of his time in the office at work, so it was hard to appreciate him, but I did try.
Whenever I had a dance recital or competition, he would always try his best to show up, and if he couldn't make it, he would always make it up to me. He loved that I was so passionate about something, but he didn't like the price.
Once, I overheard him and my mother arguing because I was barely at home, and it was costing them a lot for me to dance. But dance was my favorite thing, and I didn't want to give it up. I explained that the costumes and shoes and everything was a part of it, and it was my dream to be a dancer for the rest of my life.
He finally decided to let me keep dancing.
It's been weird not dancing as much here. I wish I had more time.

Silence
Silence speaks a lot more words than actually speaking
Walking the halls and stopping where your feet lead
Wanting friends but wanting solitude
Meeting people and hoping they're not rude
Silence shows strength, not weakness
Although many people would disagree
Silently sobbing alone, wishing you were at home
Instead of a place you barely know
And that barely knows you
In the darkest hours of the night, no one puts up a fight
Downstairs in the kitchen
Where you've made so many memories
Silence is the flowers that grow in the backyard
Nobody said it would be this hard to move on
Silence speaks a lot more words than actually speaking
Falling into place, all the tiny pieces
