date. [ 12/XX/24]—— word count. [ 200 ] — This couldn't be happening right now. Why did it feel like everything was slipping through his fingers when his life was finally coming together? Well, Javier and his friends and Alphonse. He just had to go and ruin everything. Typical Alphonse to get shipped to Ilvermony and leave Briar with the pieces to pick up — as he often had to do. With no cares or worries, Phonse would be free to figure out his new life away. Was this his plan all along? Was he trying to get rid of Briar? Was Briar holding him back? His thoughts whirled in his mind like a storm forming and ready to crash down against land.
He recklessly opened the door, more energy and emotion than Briar ever let others see as he was a crashing wave against a break wall of his brother's form. " What the hell did you do, Alphonse? " His words were pointed, his form rigged as his lanky body slowly growing into its puberty as his tone cracked slightly at the question.
He didn't care if Alphonse's roommates were in there, bubbling rage as he stood directly in opposition to his brother's careless actions - waiting to hear a response.

My Blood ; part II
♕ evening, 22nd of december 2024 in dorm, castelobruxo ♕
Laughter erupted throughout the dorm despite the melancholy formulating in the room. There was a bright, exuberant grin dawning on his countenance, exchanging high-fives, handshakes, and dramatic retellings of hours prior that landed him in this upheaval.
Internally, the boy was riddled with nerves. Never did Alphonse believe this could happen—expulsion—but here he was, counting down the very minutes before one or both of his parents arrived in Brazil to speak to the Headmistress of Castelobruxo tomorrow morning. All the older Toussaint progeny could think about was facing his parents, but his apprehension was concealed behind a carefully crafted facade of charm and uncaring. That was until the door swung open, revealing Briar.
Posters and picture frames hung on the wall shattered on the ground. Some callous remarks strung out from his friends, but Alphonse shushed them and raised a bloodied, bruised fist to smack them in protest.
"Hey little bro," Alphonse said with a feigned smile, "Don't look at me like that."
Almost quipping with a 'That ranyon deserved it,' the pubescent boy chose his words with care as he side-stepped the broken glass to approach Briar. "It's okay, it's gonna be okay," Alphonse coaxed softly, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean for-"
It was a lie, and Alphonse suspected Briar would see right through his words. It was evident in his prideful grin that the now ex-Chaser had no regrets for the rampage left behind on their classmates for messing with Isadora, but was only internally devastated for getting caught.

date. [ 12/22/24]—— word count. [ 245 ] — This was the closest that Briar had ever been to showing his true emotions. Otherwise a calmed pool of depth, shadows lurking beyond the surface with no intention of striking, Briar showed his black-tipped fin as his teeth and countenance was reacting to chummed waters. " All of you idiots, out! " The younger twin was quick to point at the door, none of Alphonse's friends were his own and he was happy to kick every single one of them out so that he could rip his twin a new one.
Did he not understand what this all meant for them? They were going to be separated, something they had never done in their entire lives before. " Alphonse, please tell me you didn't hit this other wizard, Mom and Dad aren't coming here to ship you off to America. Please tell me this is all some cruel joke and you're not leaving me. " His voice showed the pain, the hurt, the abandonment through the anger that his brother could do something so stupid.
Briar had friends, sure, and he had Javier but he always had Alphonse. He didn't know who he was without his brother's larger than life personality, whose shadow he'd cling onto next out of comfort.
Sitting on Alphonse's bed, Briar placed his head in his hands and attempted to take some deep breaths to not spiral into a panic attack. He hoped this to be a horrible nightmare, it just had to be, right?

♕ evening, 22nd of december 2024 in dorm, castelobruxo ♕
The air shifted following Briar's outburst, a rare sight for all of them lingering in the dormitory.
His friends and dormmate looked upon Alphonse to intervene and hold his ground, but the pubescent boy dared not protest against his little brother. Taken aback was he upon seeing Briar react so loudly, so openly; it was a shock to see Briar in such an exposed and volatile state.
With a swift gesture towards the door with his head, Alphonse sighed as his friends begrudgingly filed out of the space while whispering their soured remarks and farewells. Their disrespect towards his little brother would be handled promptly, but only after Alphonse consoled Briar — what more did he have to lose? His last day at Castelobruxo was tomorrow anyway.
Once they exited, Alphonse closed the door and studied the defeat emanating from Briar. His grin faded, and the boisterous facade cracked as the Briar sat on his bed, head in his hands. The elder twin moved to sit across from him, leaning forward and placing a comforting hand on his brother's shoulder.
"Briar.." he muttered under his breath, trying to get a glimpse of his saddened face, "Don’t be mad at me. They were messing with Isadora— I couldn’t just stand there and do nothing."
His brother's questions tore at him, internally debating how much or how little to share with Briar. After the warring sides within the deep vestiges of his mind fought for dominance, the truth won, assuming his keen-eyed brother would detect the lies as they left his lips anyway.
"I cracked his teeth, his nose, a rib, I think.." he finally answered while rubbing his bruised fists, "Mom is coming tomorrow to speak with Headmistress Fernandez."

date. [ 12/22/24]—— word count. [ 230 ] — ' Don't be mad. ' What an idiot Alphonse was when he wanted to be. Still, Briar focused on his deep breathing as tears began to pool at the corner and stream down his face at his whole world imploded in a matter of moments. Why did Alphonse decide to let his own frustrations get the best of him? Didn't he realize they had so much going for him there. It sickened him to the root at how careless he was being.
Briar had built their whole lives around each other and happily so, Alphonse was a constant he could always rely on. With a quick wipe of his face, Briar craned his neck so that he could look his brother directly in the eye. " Did you even think about what this means for us? For me? Ilvermony, Phonse. We're not going to be together anymore. " Castelobruxo had its problems, sure, but they were finally getting the hang of everything here.
" I am mad at you, i'm so mad. I joined the stupid Quidditch team for you, we see each other every single day. " His voice raised in fear as he quieted himself for a moment to release a sharp exhale to quell the rising waves from thrashing. " Did you do this to get away from here? Was this all some stupid plan?? Cause you could've told me and not blindsided me. "
