By this point, Meiyu had been a student at the school for just under two weeks, the fortress was a lot bigger than she had even begun to comprehend. After another day of full classes, that had the misfortune of slightly souring the girls mood, she had desired for nothing more than to return to the common room and hide away. It was tiring surrounding herself with peers, some of whom had been rather eager in the subjects taught at the castle, a vast difference from that taught at muggle primary school. Naturally, the subjects intrigued the girl, entering an establishment that taught a wide range of topics that had once been unattainable outside the comforts of the Knight Manor and the stories told by her grandparents and uncles. Her mother on the other hand, chose not to disclose much of her time at Hogwarts.
The day's classes would prove to be quite fruitful, consisting of Defence Against the Dark Arts, History of Magic and Potions, quite interesting topics that had piqued the young girls interests. After readying herself for the day, wearing her full uniform and robes, Meiyu made her way towards the Great Hall, her stomach almost grumbling at the mere thought of the delicacies available for breakfast, particular the fruit platters served every morning, which Meiyu had grown to have preference for during breakfast. On her way, she noticed yet another Slytherin, foreshadowing the countless interactions she'd have with the snakes, only slightly taller than her. Evidently eager to dine, it was as though the girl was under a trance, not paying attention to her surroundings, almost bumping into the vast students that surrounded the route to the Great Hall, despite trailing behind most.
It happened too quickly for Meiyu to comprehend, she had fallen, instantaneously crying. Meiyu halted in her tracks, almost gawking at the scene that had unfolded. Having to take a moment to think about why she would cry, the lioness deduced it to embarrassment, who'd blame her, quite the scene to cause social suicide. Yet, her gaze diverted to the Slytherin's legs, entwined with someone likely to be highly irrelevant, though, the Slytherin girl's leg appeared more twisted than the latter's. She couldn't help but laugh out loud at what occurred, paired with the girl's tears, it was as though she had asked for it. The few gasps surrounding them had only halted Meiyu's reaction, her laugh immediately silencing once she had realised that laughing at someone who was crying was likely to be inappropriate.
Previously, Meiyu had the ability to enjoy witnessing things like this in the comfort of hiding away near a wall, a gentle smile plastered on her face as she watched typical human reactions with awe. Such behaviour had been another contribution factor for the forced therapy sessions Meiyu attended during her earlier years. Admittedly, part of her did feel bad for the girl, the lionesses concern primarily focused on how embarrassing it must be to fall before of everyone. Still, she had to appear composed, at least portray herself as normal, albeit usually difficult for her. Briefly hesitating, Meiyu hurriedly rushed to the two, crouching down and pressing her bare knees on the cold stone tiles that decorated the castle in it's entirety. "You should watch where you're going, so incidents like this doesn't happen!" She proclaimed, appearing as though she was shouting at the girl, despite the whispers that left her lips. Meiyu's cat like eyes briefly scanning her features, one that had oddly appeared familiar, as though she had seen such a face before, yet, this was a stranger.

Had she heard incorrectly? The familiar words that left the girls lips in a moment of agony caused Meiyu's ears to perk up like a monkey hearing its calling. It forced her to usher the girl, raising her arm and sling it over her shoulder, albeit the weight of a human being heavy for her. Meiyu's first call of action was to take her away from those who had surrounded the two, not entirely caring for the other party involved in the accident. Her cat like eyes darted around the hall for a few moments, searching for a private space rather than escort her to the Hospital Wing, she could go herself if it was that bad. Besides, the lioness owed nobody the pleasure of a personal butler.
It didn't take long for Meiyu to locate a free bench beneath the stairs. This was awfully embarrassing, not to mention tiring. Movies she had previously seen had painted such heroic actions as swift and easy, but, this was far from it. As she attempted to aid the girl towards the bench, almost dragging the girl with her, not caring if it would cause her pain in the process, she briefly turned to the girl who desperately attempted to hold back tears, recalling how her voice trembled earlier. "You should care what people think about you, especially here, of all places." Meiyu perked up rather bluntly, tightening the hold she had on the unfamiliar girl, albeit familiar face. Her fast paced steps equating to urgency enabled the pair to quickly reach the bench, helping the girl to take a seat, Meiyu sitting beside her and letting out a long exhale, believing to complete the hardest task known to man.
One thing she could commend her for, was the rational to ask for help, something the lioness would refuse to do, no matter what. Yet, her heart churned, partially feeling a tiny fragment of remorse for seeing the situation in a lighter note. Leaning back to rest her head against the stone wall, a sigh escaped her parted lips, the reality of her strength — or the lack of, dawning on her. With a small head title which enabled her to turn and view the stranger better, Meiyu took it as an opportunity to truly assess the situation, her stoic expression immediately taking its rightful place as her gaze went from her face to her leg.
Outwardly, it appeared fine, though, Meiyu was no medic, that was reserved for her only aunt. The association becoming a moment of eureka, yet, the answer to the question in her mind was clear as day. Had the shape of her eyes not hinted towards her ethnic origin, it would highly likely be the long black sleek hair she supported. "You're Korean right? What are you doing in this school of all places?" Meiyu piqued as though she had quickly transformed into an officer, emphasising the latter question, considering her own father didn't grace the same castle she had the misfortune of being in. Although, it wasn't entirely unheard of for those with a similar heritage to the lioness to attend, it was the first she had come across during the two weeks she had spent there.
"I get if it's your first or second language, still, it makes no sense to speak in Korean when you're here." She scoffed, becoming partially irritated at a singular word used, even worse at the fact it had been during a moment of weakness exhibited by the stranger. It was odd, any normal person, would bask in joy when finding someone who shared any form of resemblance with another. Yet, Meiyu was intrigued. The girl's lack of composure, succumbing to such a weak state to cry infront of another, and resorting to the use another language when faced with an unfathomable situation.

It appeared that the girl blatantly did not care an ounce for the reputation she held, evidently, that reputation was non-existent. Without a moment to comprehend the entire ordeal, Meiyu's face instantaneously grimaced as the snake proceeded to share an unsolicited life story the lioness did not care for. Had her look of displeasure not betrayed the young girl, perhaps, friendship would have been a viable option; noting the slight similarities between the two — particularly the similar heritage.
During the long, horrid, two weeks at Hogwarts, Meiyu had yet to find any who shared a similar heritage with the girl, despite the sea of Asians roaming around, some unbeknownst to her, sharing a similar heritage. For the young lioness, her heritage was that of a complex and mixed one, not entirely caring to elaborate on the intricacies of a young mixed-race, half-blood, eldest child, only girl. Truly, one of a kind. Besides, that reassurance only aided the ego and sudden personality she had developed with the new profound freedom Meiyu was experiencing for the first time in her life.
As the Slytherin girl continued, speaking wholeheartedly as though she too, did not know how to engage in conversation to equip her for the trials and tribulation of forming friendships, Meiyu could not hide the scoff that slipped her lips. "Spare me the life story, if I cared, I would ask." She immediately interjected, disapproving of yet, another form of weakness she had displayed; thinking people cared to hear her out. Perhaps, had the girl had more favourable looks in Meiyu's books, the lioness would listen with ease, unfortunately, the girl's uncanny appearance could not spare her. With her gaze fixated on the girl, Meiyu's mind wandered to where she had see the face before, resembling the beauty who resides in her dormitory, the queen-bee of Gryffindor; surely they were not related? Besides, Ula, was far less approachable, perhaps this fraudulent snake made a wry attempt to be the alternative, less-threatening, version of Ula.
"I'm a quarter Korean, grew up there and moved when before I turned 5... I think? It was a long time ago, besides, I don't start speaking Korean the moment I get embarrassed." She added with a significantly softer tone than her previous remark, partially puzzled as to why she began to confide in the stranger all of a sudden. Despite the shift in scenery from Cambridge to the Highlands, the least Meiyu could do was offer to be nice — yet, she could not, she did not care to. Aiding, had been the bare minimum she could offer, which she had done, she sure as hell was not about to play the role of a personal escort to the Hospital Wing.
Reassessing her ankle with a swift gaze diversion, Meiyu concluded the situation was not as dire as the girl had portrayed it to be. Now, she did not feel bad for laughing earlier, the heightened dramatics combined with the tear she almost shed, had been enough to supplement the young girl with her daily dose of humour, enjoying the light torture which had portrayed itself as humiliation at the snake's expense. "I'm sure you can take yourself to the Hospital Wing, I don't know where it is anyway, you can figure that out rather than attention seeking for a knight in shining armour," She began halfheartedly, her gaze shifting to the roaming bodies of students, not one catching her eye.
"Though, I'm sure the trolls of the castle will be more than happy to assist." Meiyu nodded, pursing her lips in content that her intervention, had fortunately, come to an end. Sighing contently, she turned on her heel and swiftly began to walk away, her mind focused with the everlasting fruit options available for the afternoon.
ACTION: Meiyu is heading back towards the Great Hall and exiting the thread, if you'd wish her to return feel free to call her back or go after her and we can resume.
