New Year New Life Closed

Danny would be wandering the grounds, his first day at Hogwarts in this new life of magic it all confused Daniel he didint care much about what house he was in as long as it wasn't Slytherin so he was happy with Hufflepuff he was wandering the grounds alone when he saw a group of students surrounding something "What now? Another weird monster or spell it something?" He would groan as he pushed and shoved through the croud surprised to see a small fluffy, baby barn owl, he had always loved animals and hated to see them in any sort of pain and the owl was shaking in the cold with out a mother, he heard several students wondering if somebody would take care of it, he hadn't gotten an owl yet and couldn't bear to see it in pain so he kneeled and gently picked it up as several people walked off, already bored of this, considering in Hogwarts there was always something more interesting around the corner, he took the small owl to his room knowing he had to give it away eventually but at the time he refused to think about it, and stole some food somebody had left in the common room and fed the owl "Soren.. I'll name you Soren" he remembered this name from a book he had read several years back and thought it fit this owl perfectly, he would pet and play with the owl for hours....
