I am curious in case if I am the only one facing this issue (which might be true)- whenever I try to upload an image in my thread, it first of all takes a lot of time which I can blame on my internet speed but why does my image convert into a url? I mean I am perfectly sure that I am entering the right quotations and it only works after trying twice or thrice patiently. I can totally blame it on my network but I would like to know if something is wrong with my h.io settings instead.

That also happens to me a lot. What I've learned is that I try different kinds of images. (Sometimes I do png or jpg and it works) And it even is a network issue sometimes. Hope this helps!

@Denise Garcia and @Avery Gray, try using different image uploading site. I started to use imgchest and I'm no longer having this issue, perhaps it'll help you as well

Ok I got my issue resolved. I got to know that some sites image upload is not supported by h.io, so I switched the sites and got impressive results! My images are working again and I think my posts are not going to get affected by it anymore.
