Smearing Time

Elizabeth panted as she slowed down the last few steps. She had no idea why she was bursting with these ideas but she liked them because they kept her out of boredom. At least she was just wearing the lightest clothes she had and was only carrying one small object in her hand.

Now that she was up here, the rest was extremely easy. Turning the ice cream cone over, (for that was the object), she carefully and slowly started smearing the ice cream all over the wall. She had no real use for the ice cream, so, it might as well be used for something.

Relaxing as she continued smearing, she let her thoughts wander until she dropped the ice cream onto the floor. Stooping to pick it up, she looked up at the stars, admiring their beauty and light. Leaning against the wall, she put the ice cream down on the wall, forgetting that there was still some left, and let her gaze wander the skies.

She had never been interested in the night sky yet, somehow, she was drawn to it tonight in the middle of her activity. Laying down and crossing her arms behind her head, a smile crept across her face as she lay, watching the stars. Tonight would most likely be how she started her interest in the night sky.
