Guess I'm off to Hogwarts. What Joy.

My family flooed over there, so we wouldn't have to go through the muggle entrance. Ugh. Was my only thought as I stared in distaste at the loud, red train. Why? What did I do to deserve this fate? Did I insult some ancient god? What, in the 3 Fates did I do? In case you didn't catch on, I was NOT elated at going to Hogwarts. I didn't understand why I couldn't be homeschooled. It cost less, and I could stay at home and independently study, which, if I may say, I am great at. But noooo, I just have to go to a "real school". I admit, I was curious as to how it would work, but still! My parents assured me that I would have splendid time at Hogwarts. I was not assured. My Uncle Zeus came over to me and placed his arm around my shoulders. I stared up into those sky blue eyes. He took me away from my parents and said quietly so that only I could hear, "Don't worry kiddo! I know that you think that this won't be fun, but I promise you, this is going to be the best time of your life. I felt the same way that you did, but I tried it and I loved it!" I said, "Uncle, that's different. I'm not like these other kids." He winked at me. " That's what makes you special." "But, what if the other kids don't like me?" I asked, feeling my eleven years of life. He shrugged." That's their loss then. You are a very special kid and anyone would be lucky to have you as a friend." "Now," he said, grinning at me,"let's see that smile!" I gave him a small one. He crowed," There's my little thundercloud!" I smiled a bit bigger at that. That was always a joke between me and him, because my mood often resembled thundercloud. I said goodbye to the rest of my family, not feeling particularly sentimental to my parents. Then, I took a deep breath, and stepped onto the train. Here goes nothing, I guess.
