I just wanted to start off this this letter by saying thank you again. You don't know how much it means to me. I write in my journal every day, whether in the morning, afternoon or evening, sometimes in the grounds, often in the common room or dorm...
I am indeed a first year actually, a Hufflepuff. If you mean you would like to be quill pals, that sounds like a great idea! I always love meeting people and making friends. Writing is one of the things I love to do most, along with adventuring, reading, sneaking around the castle at night and in Hogsmeade (don't judge me;), playing piano, hanging out with friends, discussing interesting topics and just learning in general.
Sorry for the long rant...what are your hobby's, what house are you in? I've never really seen you around before, and if I did I didn't recognize you as I've never seen you in person. I'd love to learn more about you though and hopefully be friends in the future!

It’s so lovely that you use your journal so much and it was my pleasure delivering it to you.
Yes, quill pals is exactly what I mean but I’m sure we will see each other soon too! In fact, I’m a first year Hufflie too! It seems we both have a like of hanging out with friends, writing and reading! I have never been to Hogsmeade myself, but I would love to one day soon. (I am perhaps a little scared of being caught! - You weren’t caught were you? Any tips or advice?)
As I said I’m in Hufflepuff and I like reading, writing and just relaxing. Since coming to Hogwarts I have grown a love of flying (I want to become the Hufflepuff Chaser!) I think my favorite subjects are Charms and DADA, but I do like most of them.
Anyhow, what subjects do you like? Do you fly or dual? And if you don’t mind me asking, are you from a wizard family or Muggle born or half blood? Also, so you have a little description of me in case you see me. I have brownish, somewhat wavy hair, hazel brown eyes, am a little short and according to other people smile a lot : )

Sounds great, I can't wait to write to each other, and you're certainly right, we probably will see each other sometime soon! You're a Huffie and a first year too? That's certainly a fun coincidence, especially because we also seem to have some interests in common! Hogsmeade is lovely, I had so much fun going with a friend. You should totally go, there's so many people that it's rather difficult to notice the occasional first year as a prefect. Just act like you know where you're going and like you've been before and you'll be fine! Good luck!
That's cool, I also hope to be chaser! My parents are both wizards, so I know all about Quidditch and other things that Muggle-borns would still have to learn. I also like those subjects, but to be honest I basically like them all! History of Magic can be a bit boring at times but it's very interesting, and Potions, well... it seems to dislike me. I'm getting better though!
I'll look around, maybe I'll see you one of these days, thanks for the description. I'll give you mine too, I'm about 5 feet tall, have greenish eyes, and brown hair that is not too long nor too short and is mostly straight but also a tiny bit wavy. According to my friends I'm also (very) bright, so if you happen to see me that might help recognize me;)
