Lucy looked out the window of the car, looking for a sign of her home. Sadly, it still looked like small cities and colleges. No farms yet. Her aunt was driving her, being the closest to the Ilvermorny train station in New York. She was going to stay with them as well, so it made the most sense to go with her.

Lucy's aunt was a strict woman, with brown hair surrounded by gray, and a frown on her face. Her name was Aunt Evelyn, but she called her Aunt Evil, for her evil stares. Michael had come up with the name...Oh Michael, how I miss you. She thought sadly.

"Lucy?" Aunt Evelyn brought her out of her thoughts. What did I do now? I thought I had been kind... "Lucy?" She prompted again.

"Yes Aunt Evelyn?" She asked, trying not to seem nervous. Her aunt hated when she acted nervous. She said it was "unladylike" to be nervous.

"I want to tell you about something before you go home." She said. Lucy frowned. That was odd. Aunt Evelyn usually didn't tell you anything unless it was a lecture.

"Um...sure." Best to get it over with. Lucy looked away from the window, giving her aunt her attention.

"Great. You see your necklace?" Her aunt asked her. What a weird question. Of course I do. She gave it to me after all. It is quite pretty. What does this have to do with anything though?

"Yes. Why?" She asked. She felt like she was about to be lectured. Why had she agreed to this? Maybe she should have just stayed in New York until her parents could get to her. The uneasy feeling that had stayed with her since Pyre was stronger than ever, telling her that what her aunt had to say was not nice.

Be strong. What would Michael think if he knew I was scared over a simple incident? If I ever want to find him, I have to be braver than I am now. Less scared over the Pyre. I need to move on. I need to forget about all the mistakes I have made. Especially over the incident with the bite...

Her aunt was still talking to her. "And so, you understand why I gave you it." Lucy blinked. What had her aunt been saying?

"Um...sorry, repeat that? I spaced." Her aunt sighed and shook her head. Now she was really going to get a lecture.

She looked out the window, and to her delight saw her farmhouse! All her chickens and horses and farm dogs were waiting for her! "Sorry, but look, it's my house! We're almost home!"

Her aunt looked frustrated, but didn't say anything as she parked and let Lucy out. Lucy ran to the door, happily knocking on it. She was home for the holidays!
