Backdated to the second day of being at Hogwarts

Lottie's stomach growled loudly. It demanded the food that she could smell, wafting so strongly towards her. The sounds of dinner reached her ears at the same time as the smell. She stood frozen just outside the door. As much as she wanted to get dinner, the fact that there were so many people sitting just behind this door was a terrifying idea to the small girl. She had survived the first full day of school, but now her social battery was completely dead.

What she wanted right now was for her sister, Katie, to be beside her. This entire experience would be easier if she were here. Lottie clutched onto the front of her uniform. She was kind of lost as to when she was allowed to wear her clothing from home. It seemed that some students had changed out of their uniforms right after classes ended, but then again others were still wearing their uniforms. She didn't want to risk getting in trouble, that would mean she'd have to talk to someone she didn't know. As the tween stood there, she suddenly had a strong pang of homesickness. Her mother had said this would be an adventure, however, everything was big and scary and she was without her sister. Lottie tried to think of what her sister would do. katie would probably just walk into the great hall without a care in the world, she'd grab a platre and load it up with all kinds of sweets. grinning at Lottie and reminding her that their mother wasn't there to remind them to eat their healthy food first.

Lottie took a deep breath, she scrunched her eyes shut for a moment before letting the breath out. "You're good. No one will notice you. Just do what Katie would do. Just walk in. It won't be like yesterday, you won't have to sit at the front where everyone can see you. You've been sorted already.'' She muttered to herself. When she reopened her eyes she felt a little braver. She started forward before she could chicken out. She worried she had wasted so much time that dinner would be finished soon, however, it seemed like dinner was still in full swing.

She hurried towards the Ravenclaw table. It was fairly packed so Lottie tried to find the first empty seat she could. As soon as she found a spot she slid in avoiding any eye contact in the process and grabbing the first food she saw. She felt like the entire school was starting at her, and felt her face get hot. In reality there was probably no one looking, but the little ravenclaw didn't realize that.
