One in a Million Closed

┏ Another day of lessons was over, and Lyanna was heading to the library. She liked it there, it was peaceful and quiet, the perfect place to study. But today, Lyanna decided to find a book to read instead. It was a Tuesday, and after the whole weekend including Monday of doing homework and studying, she needed a break. She had just finished her last class that day, Transfiguration, and descended five staircases before finally reaching the ground floor. As she walked in, she saw all the thousands of shelves, but from her perspective they seemed like much more than that even. Lyanna walked past the rows of books, looking for something she might like. After quite a bit of searching and finding her way through the many rows of books, she finally found something that attracted her attention. She didn't really know why, just that it looked like an interesting book. Maybe it was the cover, the golden letters on the front, maybe neither. And even though her father always told her not to judge a book by it's cover, something about that book just...clicked into place somehow. So Lyanna absentmindedly reached up for the book, not really conscious of what was happening around her. ┛

┏ Just as she was about to reach the enticing book that had caught her eye, still in a sort of day-dream-like trace, Lyanna didn't feel the leather spine of the book but...a human hand? Snapping back to reality, she realized that another girl, around her age at first glance, was also reaching for the book. The girl had dark brown hair, but most of the bottom part was blonde. Her eyes were blue and bright, reminding Lyanna of the ocean. Not just her eyes though, but many more aspects of the girl reminded her of the beach. And if she liked the beach, she was not the only one. Lyanna loved to go swimming during the summer holidays or simply relax on the sand. But more than anything, she loved to curl up in her blankets at home and read. What could ever be a better pass time than that on a rainy day? “Oh sorry!” The girl said, “you can have it, I don’t mind.” Lyanna could tell that the girl did mind though, so even though she was also very curious about the book, being polite came first. "Oh, no-I'm sorry! You take it, it's all right. Do you like reading too?" She said, smiling kindly. Even though she would have loved to engross herself in a new adventure, who knows, maybe her new acquaintance would be the start of an adventure of its own? ┛
