A Good-bye
The weather was completely miserable. It was cloudy and sprinkling. There was no sun to be seen. Just like the weather, Liliafix was miserable. She loved her little deer mouse, Daisy. She wanted to care for her forever, but she knew that it wasn't fair to keep Daisy locked up forever. She smiled at the little mouse, even through the rain. She could have sworn Daisy smiled back. Kneeling to the ground, she set Daisy free. "Goodbye, little girl." she whispered. Daisy looked back once more before scampering into the tall grass. Tears began to fall down Liliafix's cheeks.
Memories flooded Liliafix's head. She remembered when she first rescued the little mouse. Her cat had been meowing in the field, so Liliafix found her. Seeing that she had a dead mouse, Liliafix congratulated the cat. But then she realized that the mouse wasn't dead. It didn't even have any injuries. She removed the little mouse from the cat's mouth and took her inside. She nursed the mouse back to health. There seemed to be a connection between the two. They cuddled and played. They even pranked Liliafix's uptight aunt. Liliafix would miss Daisy, but she would treasure these memories. Wiping the tears from her face, Liliafix made her way back to the dorm, not even noticing that it had started to pour.
