Rekka is half Japanese and half Scottish. Her mother was from Otaru, a smaller city. When her father traveled abroad, he fell for her, not knowing she was a witch. Rekka was born with magic, and grew up in Stirling playing in the old abandoned castles.
Her tan skin and slightly hooded brown eyes sit well on her small frame, which has no curve to it. Her choppy gingery hair reaches her ribs, but it’s never brushed and always pulled away with clips and stray pieces of fabric. Her freckles face and shoulders come from her father, as does her inquisitive nature and tendency to question authority figures. Her sharp mind (and fun-sizedness) come from her mother, a doctor at a local wizarding clinic. With chipped nail polish and bandages (plasters) on her legs, this Bhuddist will do anything to defend the innocent, and loves hearing about the cases her father works on as a lawyer. Unfortunately, her parents divorced, and her father has no memory of the magic his ex-wife and daughter possess. When Rekka’s mother was remarried, her stepfather adopted her, and she hyphenated her last name—hence, Ray-Snyder. She’s not entirely sure how to feel about this new wizard sweeping her mom off her feet, though.
Stubborn and anxious, she is loud but introverted. She would much rather play her little ocarina than have a conversation with several people.
