Yolanda is the youngest of 7 kids – that’s a lot of siblings! It gives her plenty of experience helping with problems! And she has seen it all! Aunty Yolanda would love to help!

"Hi Aunty Yolanda,
I spilled Pepperup Potion on my Lesson 2:Potions Homework and now it sneezes and blows smoke every time I go to work on it! Dumbledores Mandrake roots!
*sigh* I told my teacher once that my Owl ate my homework… now they won’t believe this spill was an accident. It’s due tonight and I’m panicking! Can you help? How do I keep things from getting worse?

Thanks for asking! Your identity is safe with me. Smoking homework? That’s new
. But no problem for Aunty Yolanda! I’ve got you covered.
Deep Breaths.
Try this:
Use Scourgify to wipe and clean the parchment. If that doesn’t work give Abluvium, a cleaning charm, a try! Just a gentle swipe of the wand will do.
As for your teacher, honesty is the best policy. If you do the honest thing, and still get reprimanded, at least you know you did the right thing. Excuses or more fibs won’t help create trust with your professor. Honesty is magical

Spills happen – but in the future try to keep your homework a tad bit away from your cauldron. Try to give yourself more time to work on your studies and if not give yourself some grace (and stay honest!) as mishaps happen.
May your mind guide your wand.
