The sun had set hours ago and Nabi found herself walking through the Castle, the corridors dimly lit by the torches, This school will be the end of me. Her footsteps gently echoed as her head throbbed from a mild headache she was experiencing, no matter how many months had passed since she first arrived, the castle was still deafening. Chaos, wherever she turned; if it was not some random student running and screaming through the halls, it was a mild explosion of someone's foolishness while brewing a potion. Either way, it was beginning to strain Nabi's already limited patience, Perhaps I should have attended Durmstrang. I bet they are not as dreadful as these kids who seem to have nothing better to do.

She wandered silently, going where her legs would take her, Should I go to the Great Lake...hm, it seems quite popular these days, perhaps I should steer clear...the campground? Nabi glanced out one of the numerous windows of the corridor she was in, her eyes narrowed in thought, hmm..no, not there...the other schools are there. There were a couple of students walking past her in the corridors, many seemed to be heading to their respective common rooms.

With a soft sigh, she glanced out the window in thought, her eyes lit up slightly. I could head to the astronomy tower... Nabi nodded to herself as she resumed walking through the numerous corridors of the castle, now with a location in mind. Soon enough she found herself at the foot of the daunting spiral staircase, I dislike stairs so much. Nabi began to go up the stairs, her shoes making a soft clomp with each step she took. After a tortuous climb up the stairs, she entered the classroom and was immediately greeted by the familiar layout of the classroom.

Nabi hummed softly to herself, the sound of a hauntingly melancholic hymn escaped her as she took in the sight of the shelves, cushions, books, and other things the lovely professor had put together for the students. The room was silent, her footsteps broke the silence while she walked further into the classroom. I could go and lie down for a couple of minutes...or I could get a book and read. While she scanned the bookshelves for a book to read and a blanket, a couple of the nicnacs, placed in small storage containers caught her attention and she took a step closer to their direction. She read the labels in thought, What are those weird things? Fidget toys, her eyes narrowed as she looked through the various things inside the bin, all of them new and weird to her.

Eventually, after looking at the toys, she grabbed a small book and a blanket before walking to a cushioned seat and relaxing. Glancing over to see the scattered silver twinkles across the inky sky she sighed softly; the hint of a faint smile cracked through her usual expressionless demeanor.

In solitude there is beauty. Tranquility to be appreciated,

Especially amongst the stars.

Confined.

Arno's feet lead him to the astronomy tower, stepping inside his footsteps echoed in the vast, empty expanse. Each step on hogwarts grounds felt like a forced confinement within the castle walls. The memory of the Hogsmeade attack weighed heavily on his heart, friends lost, holiday ruined. A darkness laid in his mind, one that the flickering candlelight could not chase away. He felt like a victim in this unfamiliar place, a Castelobruxo student lost in the infamous halls of Hogwarts. The chaos downstairs was however a stark contrast to the serene silence above, here. The recent incident served as a grim reminder of how horrors could unfold anywhere. The realization of how it could've been him were it not the older kid who helped him out, the sadness of not finding Meg despite his attempts to see all those who made it out. The stars above called to him, a silent attempt at peace and escape from the trauma they had been dealt. He yearned for the comfort of his own school, those familiar faces, and the language that sang to his soul. The book in his hand, a book of poems from a french poet his father had left behind, whispered of a much more peaceful time. A time when his father was still within reach, his mother truly treated him like a child instead of a responsibility. When the biggest concerns in his life were his own whims and not the malice of human hearts.

Arno's gaze shifted from the book to the figure that entered the room, his eyes lingering on Nabi as she moved with quiet grace among the shelves. He felt a twinge of curiosity, but quickly shaked it off, reminding himself of how he wouldn't wanna be seen in the condition he was. Instead, he refocuses on the vast expanse of the night sky beyond the tower windows and the book in his own two hands. The stars twinkled like distant candles in a sea of ink. As he watched, the heaviness in his heart, the echoes of the castle's chaos, they all began to fade as he traces the familiar patterns with his gaze. The Pleiades, a cluster of sisters, their light a gentle embrace from afar. The stars speak to him, whispering in the language of light and shadow, a comforting lullaby that soothes the edges of his anxiety. He took a deep, shuddering breath, letting out a sigh that carried the weight of his thoughts. The presence of the girl from Hogwarts had faded into the background by now.

Arno's curiosity kept growing as Nabi's soft humming filled the quietude of the astronomy tower. He pondered for a moment before he broke the silence. Carefully folding his book, placing it beside him, he rose from his cushioned seat. He approached her, "Excuse me," he began, his voice with a coarse rumble in it. "What is it that you're reading?" The question was innocent, one directed towards the girl who had unwittingly intruded upon his solitude.

"Excuse me..."

The sudden and mildly heavy voice caused Nabi to jump slightly in her seat. Her humming immediately stopped into a small cough and any trace of a smile was soon replaced with her usual blank expression, I never seem to be alone. She turned to look up at the source of the voice from her chair. Her gaze met a young boy with black hair standing before her, a hint of curiosity evident in his eyes. "What is it that you're reading?"

Goodness... you sound like you need some honey lemon tea.

Nabi blinked once, the young boy's question registering in her head. Good question... what am I reading? She looked down at the worn book in her hands before gently turning to see the brown leather cover. With a slight hum, her fingers lightly traced the engraved title in a neat font.

How ironic...

"Stars and Solitude" Her voice was soft and thoughtful. A faint smile played at the corners of her mouth as she found the title fitting to how she hoped her night would go.

Just her and the stars.

Yet here was this young boy she had never seen before, cutting her peaceful moment short. Unaware that she was the one who had intruded, she looked back up at him, noticing his slightly bruised face for the first time. You appear to have been tousled like a ragdoll... She tilted her head and narrowed her eyes slightly before curiously looking at his attire in silence, No house colors... he could be from one of the other schools...

She said, expressionless, though amusement laced her calm tone like silk. "Are you lost, mister? Or are you hiding from trouble?" Perhaps the young boy was searching for a way to escape the never-ending noise Hogwarts offered or his reasons for being at the astronomy tower may have been drastically different from hers, but one thing was for certain.

It was now her, the stars, and him.

Placing the book down on a small table beside her, she stood up and straightened herself before looking at the boy once again. "Perhaps hiding from whoever caused those minor bruises you have?" She pointed to his face, her eyes flickered to the window momentarily, The stars do provide some comfort for those seeking it... could he be here for that?

With a faint hum, her hands folded together as she observed him "Do forgive me but... you do not strike me as the stargazing type..."
