Célestine didn't expect this visit to Hogwarts turn out to be so tragic. No amount of preparing could possibly have her ready for what happened soon after their arrival at Hogsmead. If someone would ask, she'd admit she never felt safe during this time. The only thought that was in her mind is a hope. A tiny hope for everyone to stay safe.

Returning back to Beauxbatons felt emotionally hard. How one was supposed to return to the school with 13 students and Headmaster no longer there? However, death of Headmaster also meant that school now needed someone new to take this position. Célestine was spending time in her classroom with her snake close to her, when she noticed an owl coming her way with a note. Taking it and letting the bird fly away, she opened the folded paper and started to read. To all staff and professors, please come to the office for a meeting.

Célestine sighed and stood up. I'm going to the meeting. Stay here please. Leaving her classroom with her snake, she made her way to the office where they were all supposed to meet. She knew what it will be about. It's time for choosing a new Headmaster. When she entered, she saw that most of the staff already was there. Hi. Who are we waiting else? She sat down and heard someone answering that there were two more professors that were coming.

After everyone arrived, the meeting started. It didn't take long before someone offered to choose between those who were also visiting Hogwarts. Célestine looked at others, knowing well that it meant her and couple of other staff. However, soon others rejected it, leaving only Célestine as offered choice. It's unfortunate that it follows the tragedy. She replied before giving her answer. What would be a great event now is only result of tragedy and overall actions that were taken during and after that. However, if everyone thinks that I would be suitable for this role, I will accept it.

With this said she once again looked around. Everyone agreed on the choice so Célestine de la Croix-Valmer became new Headmistress. She offered to set a table in the hall in memory of everyone who didn't return from Hogwarts and meeting finished, with everyone going to call all students for a quick announcement about new Headmistress. In this announcement Célestine would give a speech in memory of late Headmaster and those students who unfortunately didn't survive as well as wishing everyone to stay safe and letting them know that they can come to talk to her or any other staff if they wished.
