Standing at a slender 5'2, Adeline is tall in relation to her peers. While statuesque, Addie's presence is understated, almost muted- this paired with her constant slouch suggest a much smaller frame upon first encounter. If you manage eye contact with the girl, you’d find yourself met with a set of oversized, smokey blue eyes, and a pair of ever-furrowed eyebrows. Adeline’s shoulder-length umber hair is never quite fixed, just as her uniform is never quite straightened out, and her things are never quite in order. When it comes to wardrobe, the Spinks girl leans towards vintage classics. Plaid skirts, collared shirts, hand-me-downs, and a range of nature shades fill the girls closet along with her impressive leather shoe collection. Various accessories adorn her at all times, with silver jewelry and stacks of stone rings being frequently featured.Upon initial observation, the young Ravenclaw typically appears aloof and distant in general demeanor, causing her to frequently come across as unsocial, or unhappy. It is not uncommon to observe the young Ravenclaw seemingly lost in thought, eyes fixed on an unseen target, fingers twirling about in her hair - distant. | Despite what some may assume, Addie can be quite the troublemaker, often letting curiosity lead her into sticky situations. A collector by nature, the magpie-like girl never has empty pockets- stones, feathers, loose buttons- nothing is spared when it comes to Addie's ever growing hoard. Much of Adeline’s personality can be traced back to her early years spent watching her father tinker with gems and jewelry, creating magical, and non-magical, treasures by hand. A quirky man with an inventive personality, his unusual ways can be seen clearly reflected in his daughters quizzical nature. Adeline is stubborn, avoidant, and quiet, preferring to watch the world from the sidelines, framing her as an outcast. It’s not that she is not a kind girl, or that she doesn’t want friends to share her school days with. Sometimes, things are a little bit more complicated than that.

| Adeline was raised in the small coastal town of Tenby, Wales, where her family lives life under the radar. While they were not the only wizarding family in Tenby (There are exactly three), many days it seems as if that were the case. Addie's father, Mavin, inherited his muggle father's jewelry store in the town, and for many reasons, sentimentality leading the list, he cannot bear to leave it all behind. The town need not know how Mavin repairs their treasures so quickly, or why his stones seem to shine brightest. His relationship with his daughter is one of mentorship. While Efa tends to shelter Adeline, Mavin pushes her to grow, invent, and challenge. Efa, Adeline's mother, is a kind, spirited woman with a knack for gardening, healing magic, and poetry. While Addie is most similar to her father, Efa is her safe place, and trusted confidant. Efa is prone to babying Addie, insisting on bringing her warm cookies before bed, and fluffing her pillows. As much as her daughter rolls her eyes, they both know that she appreciates her mothers softness. The Spink's family home is an eclectic mix of coastal charm wrapped in jewel tones and whimsy, tucked inconspicuously between a string of similar muggle homes. From the outside, not much separates their unit from the others on the street, but if one were to step inside they would be blinded with an eclectic barrage of acquired knick-knacks and magical items. As a child, Addie spent most of her days pre-hogwarts with her parents and two sets of muggle grandparents. Addie never experienced typical hardship; everything was always easy-going with the Spinks family. If anything, she was often bored, wishing to be somewhere where they could be free to live their lives alongside other magical folk.

An antique, blood red vial finished with aged pewter fastenings. This bottle is long and slender, filled with various trinkets and treasures that bring to mind the image of a refined huntress. A shotgun shell, a sun bleached bone, and the sweet lingering scent of wood shavings ever present on inky, old parchment.
A misty blue bottle adorned with dozens of ever observant eyes. This vessel contains a singular butterfly wing, a brass stag charm, and an old letter, a list of various duelling spells inscribed messily on the back. Attached to the message with a piece of thin, black string is a lonely star.
------ This bottle is one of duality. It is clear that while beautiful, this vessel has seen many trials, age apparent in faded etching and cloudy glass. Inside rests a pair of antique sewing scissors, stray Glasgow subway tickets, and a ripped page from a favorite old book. If you listen closely, this bottle hums with the sounds of the city.
