Day of Tolerance | MENTIONINGI should tolerate that I'm in love? Cirrus attempted to smack the thought out his head by gently punching his noggin with his palm as if the thought would fly out his ear. What was he thinking when he wrote that? He definitely WAS NOT in love, especially with Gekko, they were friends and he had no feelings towards her in any way than a friend would! There was absolutely nothing else and nothing more. This is what Cirrus would constantly try to convince himself of, yet he found that the Slytherin girl was always on his mind. Ever since they had first met, Cirrus seemed to follow closely behind her like a lost puppy, of course more than he would admit and less than what he would've liked. He didn't know why he had grown so attached to Gekko, he thought maybe he just found her interesting. To be fair she was definitely very... different, but that's what he liked about her the most. Cirrus had decided to prove to himself that he didn't have a crush on Gekko when they met up today. He took a glimpse of himself in mirror, he still had an ink stains on his forehead, his lips, and all over his hands. He sighed he had spent hours last night trying to get rid of it, he had been partially successful. Cirrus took a deep breath, and said his prayers before leaving his dorm.
Whilst he walked he mentally prepared himself, going through all of the things in his head, what to do and what not to do. While thinking what not to do, he found himself smiling as he thought of her and what he liked about her. But that was off limits to think about though, Good job, Cirrus! he thought to himself, You know exactly what NOT to think about. He felt a little bit of confidence surge through him as he walked to the great lake. He waved as he approached happily from a distance, but his hand quickly slowed as he got closer. It was funny how her appearance betrayed her, on first glance many would assume that she was a cold person. But in reality she was, simply put, a wild card it became apparent when she spoke and the way she seemed to carry herself. Cirrus could feel the tips of his ears turn hot, which he put off as him just being chilly due to the autumn weather. The grass made a satisfying crunch underfoot and there was a small breeze that was amplified by the vast body of water before them.

───── If there was one thing Gekko loved, it was the cool and crisp air of incoming winter. It was refreshing, if she ignored how it made her cough when she inhaled it too deeply. Of course, she was accustomed to spending this time in the house snuggled with her parents and doing some silly activity or another, but they weren't here right now. Instead, she had the next best thing, her friends! Or, in this case, Cirrus Nam. Not that she felt negatively about the kid, in fact she thought he was rather amusing, especially the way he spoke.
The young girl was drawn out of her thoughts and attempts to step one foot over the other in a perfect line when she caught sight of a figure in the distance waving in her general direction. A small tug on her lips indicated a smile trying to break free, and she responded in kind, raising her short arm as high as she could reach it and waved back. It was animated and overly exaggerated, always the kind of person to express her every emotion through her actions. She gave a cautious glance to the lake as she debated whether she trusted herself to not fall, but the hesitation only lasted a moment before she was running. Gekko hated the great lake, which is funny because she grew up in a port city and the lakes back at home were bigger. But she avoided them too, they were too big and for all of her confidence the girl could not swim. Plus, she'd heard about the lake housing a kraken, and she wasn't curious to check it out.
So instead, the young witch ignored it and surged forward, eager to spend time with her friend. Unlike Oliver and Aodhan, Cirrus was sweet and reminded her of her mother, and she wondered if that was why she seemed to grow attached to him so quickly. It seemed as if her touchy nature grew tenfold when in the Korean's presence, immediately proven upon how she hugged the boy as soon as they were close enough. "Hi, Cirrus." Her voice was the usual deadpan and monotone, but the joy in her eyes were obvious as Gekko looked up at the Hufflepuff was obvious to anyone who knew her. "I'm so glad you wanted to hang out today, I swear I was getting FOMO in the dorms."

Day of Tolerance | MENTIONINGCirrus couldn't help but break into a toothy grin upon seeing her response to his wave, although her face almost deemed itself expressionless she moved so dramatically, he couldn't help but give a bit of a snortle. Snorting and Chortling at the same time. But this snortle caused a small bit of snot to suddenly decide it was time to make its entrance into the world, he wiped it away with the sleeve of his jacket and quickly sniffed up the rest. The cold always caused his nose to go runny as well as caused a flushed look to the underneath of his eyes, ears, lips, and cheeks. Due to this, his mother would constantly compare him to the pokemon Cubchoo, an adorable blue ice bear with a large bubble of snot. OOC: My second favorite pokemon, my first is Cyndaquil! (><) The goat stared at the lake for a moment in what looked like a hate, or what Cirrus liked to call an evil eye, but to be honest he could have mistaken it was hard to tell her emotions by her face. He didn't know why and didn't think much about the fact, he just thought she was being strange as usual, you never really knew what to expect with Gekko. Like what happened next, the Slytherin girl ran towards him as he continued to walk towards her as well, nothing out of the ordinary until the surprise attack. She raised her short arms in what felt like slow motion, her arms slowly wrapping around him before Cirrus could process what was happening. His eyes shot out wide as he looked down at her with a dumbfounded expression, an expression that could be best described as, "no thoughts, head empty." His already flushed cheeks reddened tenfold, his body immediately stiffening as he felt the warmth from her body as she embraced him. Gekko had hugged him. Cirrus wasn't sure if he should squeal and kick his feet, hug her back, play it cool, or run away in embarrassment.
"Hi, Cirrus," she said as if she had been drained of any emotion, the only thing betraying her was her sparkling happy eyes as she looked up at him, he just hoped she couldn't hear his heart beating out his chest as she hugged him. "I'm so glad you wanted to hang out today, I swear I was getting FOMO in the dorms."
It almost sounded sarcastic but luckily he knew better, he gave a large green causing his eyes to turn into half-moons. Apparently, all the options he had gone over to respond to the situation had all gotten thrown out the window. He went to hug her back, but as he tried to return her favor he made the mistake of taking an extra step forward first stepping on Gekko's foot before quickly stepping off apologizing just for his feet slipping on the wet dirt mud, falling forward onto the girl, he immediately wrapped his arms around her to try and catch his fall only to his horror for her to fall backward as his weight was too much for her. Before the two tumbled into the icy cold of the Great Lake, the two's faces smashed into one another their lips colliding for a brief second.

───── Gekko hated the cold.
Did she mention that? No? Now you know. Because the moment she felt the two of them slip on the mud beneath their feet, she stiffened up considerably and tried to cling to Cirrus like a cat, claws and all. It all proved futile anyway, it didn't stop their downfall to the freezing cold water of the Great Lake. She didn't even process how close they'd gotten, barely even seemed to care in that split second before they hit the water that two children had kissed.
No, what mattered right now was the screech that left her lips as soon as the young girl's body hit the water. What mattered was the pure panic and flailing, letting go of the Hufflepuff boy to swing at the water as if it owed her money. The water was absolutely ice cold, it seemed to seep past her clothes to chill even her bones. Were Gekko above the water and actually on solid ground, she was sure her teeth would be chattering. She flailed wildly in the water until she could actually feel the edge of the land, desperately grasping at it like her life depended on it. Because it did, this girl could NOT swim. The sounds of violently splashing water could be heard as Gekko managed to finally pull herself to the edge of the lake, mud and grass splattered on her sleeves as she heaved her small body to the earth.
She didn't have the strength to fully pull herself up, instead the girl lay there with her head resting on her arms. She was gasping for air and sputtering water out of her mouth, honestly looking like every bit of a drowned cat. Her hair was a mess and had she not been so distressed about nearly drowning, she would have actually kicked up a fuss. Gekko let out a watery cough, finally getting the last bit of water out of her lungs, and weakly lifted her head up to look at her companion. She knew the Hufflepuff fell in with her, she had clung to him like a cat before they even hit the water. "Cirrus Nam...did you know I can't swim?" Her voice was more of a croak as she spoke, giving the boy a look of frustration. Half of her body was still submerged in the water, and she was shivering nearly violently, her small hands holding onto the ground as tight as she could.

#8c6d08 | DIALOGUE
Day of Tolerance | MENTIONING"BLEGH!" Cirrus yelled as Gekko screeched, a second before the two met their ultimate fate. Both were plunged into the deep, dark, cold, water. Cirrus immediately came up gasping for air and stood up, the water was up to his thighs. IM BLIND! IM BLIND! Oh wait.... He ran his hands through his hair sweeping it back so that it no longer obscured his vision. Cirrus suddenly noticed the searing pain in his mouth, he instinctively touched the source of the pain. He felt his front right tooth, tracing it with his fingers to make a shocking discovery. Some of it was missing, not a lot but still there was a chip in his teeth just gone. He freaked out for a moment before he spun around quickly suddenly recalling the existence of the Slytherin girl, she looked half-drowned and exhausted. He ran over quickly relieved that she was okay, but terrified because he had accidentally water-boarded her. Gekko's usual perfect bob was a mess, with random chunks of her hair sticking to her face. The poor girl was shivering violently, which made Cirrus realize he was also, his teeth chattering.
"Cirrus Nam...did you know I can't swim?" She had said his full name, he knew she was frustrated.
All the color in Cirrus's face, or what was left, drained immediately upon hearing her words, he had literally almost killed somebody! And not just anybody but GEKKO PHILLIPS! She was clinging onto shore for what seemed dear life, and Cirrus flushed red with embarrassment. He quickly took of his jacket apologizing profusely as he attempted to help her get warm, but to no avail as the jacket was already wet too. He instead tied it around his waist as it felt suddenly like ten tons, probably what people called water weight.
"A'm sae sorry gekko!"1 Cirrus said with extreme guilt as he attempted to help the weakened girl up, but he was also not the strongest sadly. "Whit aboot we gae inside? A'll get ye driit aff an A'll give ye snacks??"2
Although Cirrus felt awful about the destruction he had caused, he also was determined to fix the problem to avoid getting in trouble. If there was something that Cirrus was scared of more than anything else was adults and consequences, he would hate for his parents' to hear he had drowned someone. Well almost, accident or not there was no excuse!
"A can tak ye ower tae the hufflepuff dorms, A'll get ye dry clothes an a cauldron cake! juist dinnae dee or tell on me please!"3 Cirrus pleaded with the her, his hair was swept back and he had his hands in a prayer-like motion as he bowed slightly. He planned not to tell anyone about his chipped tooth and not to go to the infirmary to avoid having to tell the embarrassing story. He would only go to take her, but would be caught dead before he checked himself in.

───── Gekko was quiet as she dragged herself onto the shore, flopping over onto her back with a sigh of exhaustion and her arm coming to cover her eyes. Her meticulously cared for hair was a mess, her clothes felt like they weighed ten pounds, and Cirrus was whining like a hit puppy in her ear. Had she been a worse person, she might have told him to can it, because gosh was she frustrated. Not only did her mouth hurt, but she had to fall into the lake in this cold? Cursed. It was all truly cursed.
But Gekko was not a mean person, despite how her appearance may come off as such. She was kind, and considerate of other people. She didn't need to sit back analyze the situation, she knew it was all an accident. They were simply too close to the lake and its weak ground, then slipping makes sense. Thinking about it like how her Father analyzed situations helped the girl calm down, and after a moment, she finally pulled down her arm to gaze up at the panicking Hufflepuff. "Your accent is so much worse when you're panicking, I only understood cauldron." The girl's lips twitched up in a faint smile before she just shook her head and pulled herself up into a sitting position. Gekko looked down at her body to reevaluate the situation on her clothes. They were soaked, shocker, and now muddy because she was lying on the ground. Thankfully, most of the mud was on her robe, which was easy to just take off. Great.
With a sigh, she pushed herself up onto her feet and only just now noticed how shaky her body was from the cold, making her frown. She didn't want to catch a cold from this, this was the last thing she wanted. "How about we just go to the Great Hall and dry off? I'm starving anyway, what about you?" Wordlessly, Gekko reached out to grab Cirrus' hand, trying to be the calm one between them both and hopefully soothe the boy's worry. "Don't worry, I wouldn't tell on you because of an accident."
