Picnic by the Lake

Karina was walking with a group of students. They all were headed toward the lake for an entire day of fun activities. It sparkled so beautifully in the morning. The sunrise of the dawn, the morning fog, it all made the area look mystical, but the sound of early birds. That was making the sound of nature appear more beautiful.
Today was the start of the weekend. Karina didn't have a lot of homework. Just some Transfiguration notes, she had to finish. Other than that, and of course reading her favorite books, her weekend was free. Few students of Hogwarts decided to take a morning hike to the lake and enjoy a morning picnic by the trees. There were a few 6th years (and higher), to make sure we were all on our best behavior.
Karina had baked some banana bread that evening before, her father's style, and decided to bring the batch in for the picnic. Karina noticed some students brought in some juice, some muffins, some waffles, some fruit, and even homemade cookies; which smelled amazing!
Karina enjoyed the morning walk to the lake, it was most definitely refreshing. The long walk, the smell of the mountain dew, and just the fresh air of autumn. Karina packed a few things in a little basket. She brought a picnic blanket, some binoculars for bird watching, some books (of course!), her stuffed polar bear, and some bug spray.
The students were going to spend the morning having a picnic. Next, they were going to pic flowers, take photos by the wonderful scenery, and pic berries/mushrooms (non-poisonous ones!). Then they were going to send a few students back inside to collect some food for lunch. And then they were all going to go on a hike towards the hills, but not leaving too far from the school, of course. Lastly, to finish the day off, some professors are going to join the students by bringing in some American-style marshmallows and help build a campfire for s'mores! And then they would all head back to their dorms for the night.
Karina was so excited, but she was surprised to see that not a lot of students decided to come. There were about 35 students (with 6th years and older) out of the whole school! Karina didn't mind having few students on the trip, as long as she wasn't the only student who signed up. Karina looked around, looking for familiar faces. She spotted a few kids she may have seen before, but was a little shy to come up to anyone, which was unlike her.

Picnic by the Lake
Anthony fiddles with the bracelet on his wrist as he walks with the group . How did I get roped into doing this again , he wonders i really need to learn how to say no to people itβs becoming a hindrance to me . I can definitely say no in my head but I would probably have to find a more polite way of saying it then , no Iβd actually rather die then spend the whole day with people I donβt know or wish to know I donβt care if thereβs food or itβs some kind of bonding crap go find someone else to bother . He frowns as he imagines what would have happened if he had said that . Regardless he still wished he hadnβt said β¦ sure that would be fine . He looked around. The kid who invited me didnβt even have the Gaul to show up he thinks , whatβs the point. He was getting slightly warm in his jumper and the sun hadnβt even come up yet . The jumper was blue green and matched his eyes though most described his eyes as cold or piercing . Iβm going to get heatstroke in this I hope no one tells me to take it off . Tho many found his talk slim frame striking or handsome he hated it he felt like he looked like a tooth pick this is why he always wore baggy clothes or layers.He continued walking glad he brought sunglasses to block out the sun and to make him slightly more unapproachable . He looked around again tired and board . He accidentally makes eye contact with a girl around his age and looks away deciding looking down is the safer bet .
