Lucien had been sat in his own compartment alone happily reading a book. It wasn't hard to really, he just looked at everyone and they decided to leave him alone. He had been fine until a familiar person decided to break his silence. Mascara running down her face, tears streaming as she would try to wipe them away. White hair was in tangles and was no longer braided from what must have been the girl digging her nails through her hair trying not to cry. The girl that stood before him no longer looked like a princess like she had before. She looked like a zombie that had gotten hit by a train.

Lucien couldn't help but put away his book and stand to give her a hug before shutting the door. Despite hating hugs and germs the raven haired boy would do anything for his sister, as she had for him when they were younger. He knew exactly what it was about, nothing else made his precious sister cry. The weeping silence made everything all the worse. He looked at his sister handing her a few tissues to wipe her face off a bit. Despite looking like a zombie his sister still had a bit of style. Most people to see her in this state would hug her no matter what she had done. He sat back down sliding his book aside so his sister could sit beside him. Pulling a hair brush out of his bag he smiled sadly at his sister.

The silence would end soon. It always did, but it never fully went away. Once he got Aravis to sit down he began to take out the braids in her hair to redo them as he had always done when his sister was upset. It was just something the two did. If Aravis was upset, Lucien would do her hair while talking it out to calm her down. If Lucien was upset she would talk it out with him while she sang to him. It was just how things always worked. Lucien hoped it would never change, she was the only person Lucien fully trusted.

"Would you like to tell me what happened?" He said in a quiet voice.

My eyes aren't both blue. One is green. One is blue.

The mess of what once looked like a girl rushed down the hall occasionally shoving people out of her way with tears streaming down her face. She looked in every compartment checking for her brother. She had to find him, she had to. Aravis no longer looked like the flaw less girl she had before. She had messed up her hair from holding her head in her hands trying everything to stay calm. Her mascara was running down her face as she cried and sniffled. Finally she found the compartment Lucien had taken up by himself. She forced the doors open a bit hard than she probably should have.

The second she opened the doors and made eye contact with her brother she broke down. She couldn't handle it, all the pain and torture. She didn't want to go back to this school. She missed her friends, the ones that understood her. All of them were back at home still, or went to other schools. Her brother continued to hug the taller girl while she remained silent aside from a few weeps and sniffles. She really hated Hogwarts, it was becoming a burden, her burden to be specific. She couldn't handle everything that had happened so far. Aravis couldn't even make one friend herself.

She continued to sob as her brother had her sit down. Talking to her brother was the only consistent thing in her life. As he began to redo her train wreck of hair he asked what was wrong. "Everyone hates me." She said sniffing once more. "And- I can't make friends. Everyone just sees me as some rude rich kid. Why don't we all kill the rich kid? I mean seriously, I have feelings, do these people not get that?!" She continued still crying. "I wish I never went to this school. 'Ara you can make friends' bull crap Calah. It's like, I'm not allowed to stand up for myself, and I'm not allowed to even nicely correct someone. I wish mom was here, she wouldn't have let all this happen to me. I wonder if I can skip the ceremony tonight. I don't want to go where everyone is. I can't deal with any more people."

She sighed to herself. It was miserable. She wanted to go home back to her friends...or what she thought were her friends. "If I try to be nice no one likes it, if I try to impress someone, it goes wrong, everything is just horrible! Lucien, I don't understand. How come you don't go through this?" She asked a bit jealous at how her brother rarely cried anymore. It was like he didn't have feelings.

Lucien listened to his sister as he brushed through her hair. Well, he halfway listened. The other half was trying to figure out how she had messed it up so bad within an hour. He knew it was hard for Aravis. She had the worst role in the family. Their Aunt seemed to want Ara and the other Haven-Escanora kids to fight. She was constantly fighting herself, and her Aunt. It made Lucien upset when he thought about it. Ara put all of her time and heart into making everyone proud and it never ended up going her way.

He felt like telling her that it didn't matter. That it wasn't worth crying over. But both of them knew that was false. Both of them had seen how it affected Aravis. She hated being ignored, or being unwanted. Lucien however, just managed to get all the attention despite her attempts for favor. Lucien would gladly give it to her if he could, after all he never wanted the spotlight. In fact he wanted as far away as possible from it. That's when something caught his attention, something Ara said caught his attention. He stopped fixing her hair before he spoke again. "Ara, as much as we wish, we can't bring Mom back. You know that. 'No thoughts, no prayers, can bring back what's no longer there.' That's what you always say about everything else, I know it hurts but nothing can bring her back they way she was before. Izzy please don't cry, you know she wouldn't fit in the world since she's no longer a part of it." Lucien said before resuming his task at hand.

Perhaps it wasn't wise of him to say that right now considering her state, she would most likely switch personalities on him but that was fine. He was used to her lashing out on things as such. He just hoped she could try to hold it back longer than she normally did. It hurt Lucien as well, even though people seemed to love him he seemed to hate it. He wasn't like Aravis in that way. It was one of the reasons he was so much like Elvira Escanora.

"Come on Isolde. You don't want to end up like Farrah, you don't want to be bitter and hateful like her. Try to be like mom, for me at least. I can't handle another Farrah." He spoke in a calm tone. If she slapped him, she slapped him, it wasn't like it hadn't happened before.

Normally Aravis would listen to her brother's words carefully. Usually he had extremely good advice. Today was not one of those days however. It didn't much to make her mad, and talking about her mother in such a way sure did it. Not only that, but he had the nerve to quote her from a song she often sang. "You listen here right this moment!" She said turning around rather quickly, thankfully not ripping her hair from Lucien's hands. Aravis wouldn't listen any longer, the rational part of her brain was shutting down. "Mother could fix anything. She is much better than you'll ever be. You will not quote me on what I say, it has no meaning to the subject at hand Lucien. Maybe if you weren't thinking of all the possible things that could happen in our conversations you would have realized that! Are you even listening to me when I speak, or are you just thinking about what you're going to say next?"

She gave a rather angry huff before turning around how she had been before. "Come on Isolde. You don't want to end up like Farrah, you don't want to be bitter and hateful like her. Try to be like mom, for me at least. I can't handle another Farrah." Lucien said. Aravis whipped her head right back around. Being compared to Farrah was another thing Lucien wasn't allowed to do to her. Although, that was their father's rule. "Shut up. I am nothing like that evil woman. I'm only bitter and hateful because it's all I've received my whole life. I suppose you wouldn't understand though would you? Mr. Perfect, who gets all the perfect treatment, always does the perfect thing. Perfect perfect perfect. Do you ever mess up?" She spoke, knowing she should shut up but she wouldn't.

The last part of her brain tried to convince her to calm down, take a deep breath, and ignore it. But the whole rest of her decided that she would not back down. She wouldn't wait for another word of his. "You don't get it do you? Unlike you, Farrah and Arthur constantly antagonize me. They tell me I'm not good enough, that I'm not you. Maven and I are constantly tortured mentally while your off frolicking around with the new things you get. Honestly, pay attention to what's going on around you. I get locked in my room for things that I didn't even do. I know how you are, you're going to find every error in my speaking and then fire it right back at me in an even more twisted way. You may be Mr. Perfect to everyone else but I know what really goes on inside your head Lucien Escanora. I know that you're even more twisted and messed up inside. You don't see friends or family, you see tools and stepping stones." She spoke bitterly, not missing a single beat in her words.

Perhaps she should shut up and give Lucien time to twist her words, but Aravis kept on going, not bothering to stop for his convenience. "I have tried so many times, so many times, to try to get close to you but you always shut me out. Every single time. You're always 'Too busy' as you say. Do you ever make time for other people? Everyone at school might view you as the selfless Escanora heir but I know what really goes on Lucien. I can use that against you and I am prepared to use it." The words were hushed but still as fierce as yelling. If anything it was more threatening when quite. She made sure she got her point across to her bother of a brother. She waited for a few moments to listen to what he had to say.

She stood up with half fixed hair, and opened the door. She was tired of dealing with her brother. It was hurting her more than it should, she couldn't afford any more pain today. Although she didn't want to stay she didn't really have a choice. Aravis closed the door and sat back down. She didn't feel like searching for another seat. Perhaps she was being too hard on Lucien, it wasn't like he was a horrible brother, he tried to understand sometimes, but he would always shut down just before he could understand. She sighed unsure of what to say. It was frustrating, now she felt bad for telling her brother off. In her mind he deserved it, but something still felt wrong about being so hard on her only friend who happened to be her brother as well.

She sat in the bitter cold silence looking out the window. It almost felt like the room was freezing over and turning to ice. She knew it wasn't however. Multiple times it had felt like this. She knew it was just inside of her head. It was simply the weight of her own thoughts and words settling in. It happened every time she got angry or sad. She took a deep breathe to calm her self down a bit. She was getting closer to her normal state of mind. She sent a glare at Lucien. Not only was he always so perfect, he was also always so calm. He seemed perfectly ok with everything going on all the time no matter what was going on. She envied him for that more than she knew.

I will take what is mine with fire and blood.

It was taking all of Lucien's will to stay calm and not let his sister have it. Lucien had never yelled at her before, and had no intentions of doing so now. He took a deep breath as he listened to his sister finding all the faults in her words. She was like Farrah because she was bitter and hateful, Lucien didn't get perfect treatment, he did mess up, he understood perfectly fine, he did get mental torture the same as her and Maven. He listened with a blank stare until he heard on specific sentence.
"I know how you are, you're going to find every error in my speaking and then fire it right back at me in an even more twisted way. You may be Mr. Perfect to everyone else but I know what really goes on inside your head Lucien Escanora. I know that you're even more twisted and messed up inside. You don't see friends or family, you see tools and stepping stones."
He opened his mouth to speak but she kept going. He stared at the white haired girl with a look of pure rage. Not only had he attempted to do exactly what she accused him of, but he was about to fire everything right back at her. If his sister had wounds on the outside he would have drowned her in salt by now. Now she was threatening to black mail him, which he would not tolerate.

"Shut up you psychopathic mental freak show of a sister. Perhaps I will fire every error back at you, but have I ever, EVER, lashed out at you?! No! I haven't and that ends today. I will not tolerate you screaming your bloody head off at me for something you did to yourself. You view people as stepping stones and tools so don't act like you are more righteous than me. I'm not perfect! And I never will be perfect! Go ahead, tell everyone all about how twisted I am. I dare you to do it. I'll just let that one little secret slip Ara, and no one will ever trust you again. I'm sick of trying to help you, especially when you act like this!" Lucien huffed annoyed at how ridiculous they were both being.

"I love how you think everybody loves you, when in fact everybody would have paid 100 galleons to watch you burn in that blossom ball fire." Lucien said with a sharp bitter tone and smile. "I'm starting to think even I would."
