Neither would she have guessed that her mother was one as well, keeping it secret and desperately stamping it out of her life, only because the love of her life was a Muggle and her sweet little boy, Faith's older brother, was a Squib.
Okay, maybe she was overreacting about it as usual. But Faith can't help but feel like the inferior one between her and her brother in terms of their mother's love, and the 11 year old girl can't help but feel like she's just another pesky bit of magic her mother needs to stamp out of her perfectly and decidedly unmagical life.
"Ningning, hurry! We're not late yet, but I'm sure you'd love it if you could still choose your own compartment, now, wouldn't you?" Faith snapped out of her thoughts and smiled brightly at her mom as they walked in considerable speed. "Opo, mom. Platform 9¾ po, right?" She picked up her speed to match Mrs. Magindara's, if not surpassing it. Competitive Faith simply cannot help herself!
In the speed that the mother-daughter duo were going, Faith's long, loose hair was caught in the wind, the silk ribbon atop her half-up bun fluttering in the wind. Faith was dressed in a lacy off-shoulder white ribbon top, belted black tweed skirt, clean white socks and neat black mary jane loafers, accessorized with a cable-knit frosty pink jacket and matching silver and crystal heart necklace and earrings from her mom. If it wasn't already evident, Faith was a fashionable girl- and also someone who deeply treasures her mother.
Carefully holding her tawny owl Tiramisu's cage close in both arms while her mom assisted with her trunk luggage, Faith was in confusion. No Platform 9¾ to be found...? Her mother linked arms with her, and they speeded towards the wall- Faith closed her eyes in anticipation for the inevitable impact- only for no impact to come at all. Faith cautiously opened her eyes, only to see her family, household family and her family from her mother's side, waiting to surprise her.

Shocked, the emotional girl started to tear up and gave them all a bear hug, as they all surrounded her as she cried tears of joy. "Akala ko you wouldn't come," Faith laughed tearfully in her grandmother's arms. She couldn't believe almost her whole family came to see her off. And as she looked around, seeing smiles on everyone's faces, seeing her mother's loving gaze, she knew her misconceptions weren't true. Surrounded by so much love, warmth, and hugs, all the anxiety drained out of her body, replaced by peace and eagerness for the future to await her.
And maybe a tiny, mischievous thought, that she would surely get bombarded with letters from them on a weekly basis.
After all the chatting was spared, Faith smiled warmly at her whole family. No wonder her mother wanted to arrive early. After giving her brother one last playful insult to end the banter satisfyingly, Faith smiled warmly at everyone, giving not a goodbye, but an "I'll give letters weekly. See you on Christmas!!"
And as they waved and said their loud farewells from behind the girl, she glanced back at them with the brightest smile on her face as she pulls along her trunk on one hand, Tiramisu on the other- towards the train, towards Hogwarts, and towards a whole new world. A whole new journey to unfold.
˚˖𓍢ִ໋☾˚The trainInside the train, Faith sighs of relief at seeing the train was only half-full. Internally thanking her mother's wisdom, she selects an empty compartment around the front-middle of the train. Settling down on the seat, her eyes constantly dart between the window and the door, eager for the train to move and eager for a fellow student to join her as well. "Isn't this so exciting, 'Misu?" She asked her sweet tawny owl with excitement, stroking her owl as she coos in agreement. In the meantime, Faith waits in solitude, calming down the nerves as best as she can and confident the year will be one of the best she's ever had.

Apollo followed his brother through the bustling platform, dodging past witches, wizards, families, and other students hauling trunks and cages filled with cats, toads, and owls. As they reached the gleaming scarlet engine of the Hogwarts Express, his brother turned to him with a reassuring smile.
"This is it," he said, gesturing to the train's long carriages lined up in front of them. "You ready?"
Apollo took a deep breath, the excitement and nervousness coursing through his veins.
"Yeah," he replied, his voice betraying a hint of his nerves. "I think so."
His brother nodded, a sense of pride evident in his eyes. "You'll be fine, little bro. You better get on the train now - it'll be leaving soon."
Apollo glanced up at the train, towering over him, and then back at his brother. He knew he had to say goodbye for now. He reached out his hand, and his brother grasped it firmly.
"Behave yourself, okay?" his brother said, grinning. "And don't get into too much trouble."
Apollo nodded and gave his brother one last smile before hauling his school trunk onto the train. As the door slid shut behind him, he took a moment to survey his surroundings. The train was already packed with students in their Hogwarts robes, eager to find a seat. He navigated his way down the narrow corridors, pushing past clusters of students engaged in lively conversations.
After checking several compartments, Apollo finally spotted a girl sitting alone in a compartment holding an owl. He hesitated for a moment, unsure if she would mind some company, before knocking on the compartment door.

Perking up at the sound of knocking, Faith sees a boy her age outside the door, looking into her compartment. Finally, some company! This social butterfly couldn't wait to start making new friends.
Faith opens the compartment door, smiling at the boy. "Come in, I'd love some company."
Once he was seated, she smiled kindly at him. "Hi there! What's your name? I'm Faith," she began kindly, speaking in moderate volume and speed, awaiting his response to match his energy.
