Home at La- What...?! solo Finished

Keith stepped off the Hogwarts Express and into platform 9 and 3/4, the end of his second year was uneventful, but he enjoyed Hogwarts none the less.

Moments later he was in his Aunt's car, on his way to his home now. When they took a wrong turn within the first 20 minutes, he said something, "Um... Aunt Brenda- you made a wrong turn, you were supposed to turn right." He mumbled from the backseat. His aunts chuckled and Carol looked back at him, "We moved." She said calmly, but there was a hint of excitement in her voice. Keith looked at her like she grew an extra head. "We what?" He said in an almost surprised tone, but his voice quiet and quick. "We moved sweetie" Carol replied, noticing how Keith looked she sighed. I know its a big change but I'm sure you'll love the new place okay? Just breathe."

Keith sat in the backseat, angry and hurt. Every summer with Carla flashing in his eyes. Every fun moment he had with her. They just left? How could they move without telling me? they could have at least sent a letter, how could they leave that house? How... What if it's a whole new town? What if it's somewhere else entirely? What if it's in the country?" He thought as his Aunts drove. He watched as new places appeared as they drove, and buildings got less and less common. Soon they where driving through the back roads. Keith crossed his arms in the backseat.

His aunt looked in the mirror to see him cross his arms, "Come now, Keith it won't be that bad." she said in a calm tone. Keith turned to look out of the window and didn't answer, still upset at them for not telling him this information before hand.

Watching out the window, Keith saw another neighborhood go by. He was mad still, a whole hour and then some had went by and he was still mad.

"Keith, we get you're mad but try to think of it as a new start. Plus there's gonna be plenty of room for you to run, and you can invite your friends from Hogwarts over, and-" Brenda started to say before Keith cut her off.

Keith was normally a vary polite kid, but he was pissed. "Why didn't you guys tell me?!" He almost yelled, his voice louder then normal.

"Keith! That's no wa-"

"Carol. Don't yell at him that'll only make things worse." Brenda cut her off before Carol could finish.

"Sorry... I'm just mad...." Keith mumbled, leaving out the hurt part. He still felt numb about the loss of his younger sister. At the same time, He didn't like seeing his aunts not getting along. He'd seen them both happy about moving and now he'd gone and messed it up. "Good going Keith. Always messing things up. Why can't you do anything right?" He thought.

"We understand that bud, but try to understand us too okay? We didn't tell you because we figured it'd be a new start for all of us, and it'd be better for you, a easier place for you after- ... Just try to understand why we didn't tell you before now? Please buddy?"

"Fine. Only cause I'm curious-" He muttered, laying his head on the door.

The door opened and he woke up some to hear his aunt Brenda, "Keith, hunny wake up." Her voice was soft like it normally was when she woke him up. "we are here"

Keith blinked his eyes open and looked out the window at the sky. There weren't many clouds today.

"Keith come on buddy" he heard his aunt say again.

"I'm up" He muttered, unbuckling and climbing out of the car.

"Look around hunny," his aunt said happily, his own eyes still filled with sleepiness.

"Mm," he hummed, then blinked his eyes open more.

He looked at the house, a farm house? or a mansion? or both? He was very confused.

Keith looked back at his aunts, "why'd you get a - this- place?"

His aunts looked at him, "it's big and spacious, just like the land around it. There's a big barn outback we'll have horses in eventually, there's a forest obviously, we can build a treehouse for you if you ever want one, there's a library- you'll have your own awesome room and hideaway in the basement, honestly it'll be awesome you'll love it." Brenda said to him while going and unlocking the front door.

Keith sighed and followed his aunts inside, he wanted to be happy but he felt like he was leaving any memories of his sister behind in the old house.
