Reflections of a New Friendship
─────There was never a moment when Sakura wasn't studying. Well almost. This Saturday afternoon Sakura decided she would go explore the Great Lake. She had seen it on the way here on the boat but she wanted to get a better look. After stopping by her dormitory to change into a t-shirt, jeans, and some sneakers. She grabbed a jacket and pulled her long hair up into a ponytail. She shoved a sketchbook into her bag along with some pencils, markers, and some colored pens. She'd draw once she got down to the lake.

After making her way out of the dormitory getting distracted by talking to a few of her fellow peers she arrives at the Great Lake. She lets out a gasp of awe as she takes in the sight before her. The sun wouldn't set for a few more hours but still the scene in front of her was mesmerizing. She climbs up onto one of the many boulders to get a better look at the water. "It's so pretty! I can't believe I didn't come here sooner." She sits down on top of the boulder to prevent from falling accidentally.
The sight of the reflections of the trees and the still bright sun were probably on of the most beautiful sights she had ever seen in her entire life. Sakura reaches into her bag and pulls out the sketchbook and pencils and begins to draw the scene in front of her. She wanted to capture everything. Even the slightest detail couldn't be left out. Perfectionism could've been her middle name with how she put all her effort into everything she did. Whether it be studying or learning something new like drawing which was a recent habit she had picked up after finding out she was really good at it during art class when she was nine.
She drowned out any other noise besides the sound of nature around her. This was almost as peaceful and relaxing as being in the library. She looked around again making sure to get every detail of the beautiful landscape surrounding her. Sakura would surely bring this drawing to life with her markers and pens. It would be almost like looking at a photograph.

Reflections of a New Friendship
Dove's eyes were starting to close by themselve. Of course, it was logicle since she had decided to, as a good Ravenclaw, get a bit ahead of the History of Magic curriculum for... well all the afternoon, since after luncj until now, that is to say 5pm. But, why did she want to do this on herself ? As she said before, she was a good Ravenclaw, and because she was feeling a little lost in this class, what better way than sacrificing her sunday afternoon fir this ? Sometimes, she wished she was not this stressed about school. So, because she realised she was about to fall asleep, she decided to close her book and think about what she could do to finish the day.
She looked through one one her common room's window, and realised there still had some hours left until the sunrise, so she could take a good breathe of the air for the end of the weekend. She quickly grabbed her blue and bronze scark, and first went to the library to send back the history of magic book, and then let her feet going outside of the castle. While walking, she realised she still had never gone to the great lake, one of the greatest places of Hogwarts, that's what her mother told to her. And... she wasn't wrong. The view was mind blowing and Dove accelerated, feeling the fresh air brushing her ears, her cheeks. While visiting the new place, she noticed a girl, markers in hand. Was she drawing ? She wanted to be sure so she got closer to her, but because she was bending a little too much over the girl's shoulders, she almost fell on her, but fortunatly she landed just next to her. She felft her cheeks turning red.
"Hum... sorry, I wanted to see your drawing."

Reflections of a New Friendship
─────Sakura finished her drawing of the Great Lake. It really was almost like a black and white photograph. She smiled to herself before grabbing her colored pens to fill it in. She mixed the greens and blues and browns to fill in the color for the trees, the grass, dirt and all that. Her ears perked up when she heard something. Step. Was someone coming? No probably an animal. Sakura continued to color in the picture.

THUD. Sakura jumped up her sketch falling to her side. She let out a yelp of fright as something fell next to her. Well more like someone. She looked at the person. It was a girl. And judging by the color of the scarf the girl was a Ravenclaw. The girls cheeks turned red in what Sakura took as embarrassment. She would have been embarrassed too if that had happened to her. She closed her eyes and placed a hand over her heart. Letting out a breath she managed to calm her risen heartbeat. Now she could worry about the girl. She had fallen quite hard. "Great heavens. Are you alright?"
The girl mentioned something about drawing. "Oh. You wanted to see my drawing? Oh well I suppose but it's not finished just yet.". Sakura turned picking up the sketchbook flipping to the page she had just drew on. "Here it is. It's nothing to grand. Just wanted to capture the moment is all.

After having apologized, Dove noticed the girl had her hand was placed over her heart and felt a little bad about what she did, and remembered she asked if she was fine, which she still hadn't answered, so she mumbled a simple "Yeah I'm fine thank you.", which was barely inaudible though. But, when the girl accepted to show her her drawing, Dove felt her cheeks were starting to be whiter, and she looked at the sketchbook. Wow. Her gaze couldn't stop going up and down, looking at the drawing and then at the lake next to them. They were so similar, how it that possible ? Like, the girl only had pen... Were they some kind of magic things that could reprend the reality on paper ? She realised her mouth was opened into a big "O", as she heard the girl saying t is "nothing to grand". Sorry ? If this is nothing to grand then when Dove tries to sketch a stick man on her parchment when she was bored was way more than trash.
"How did you- Like it seems you took a picture and sticked it on your paper... It's so good ! Do you draw since you're little ? And I"m sorry, but you definitly cannot say this is 'nothing to grand', our you are insulting me."
She wanted to add a bit of humor at the end of her sentence, which she hoped was understood our it would be awkward.

─────After hearing the girl mumble a simple confirmation that she was okay Sakura let out a relieved sigh. She showed the girl her drawing but noticed that the girls face paled. Oh no. What happened this time? The girl's eye flicked between the drawing and the actual lake. Did she not like it? Sakura thought she had done a good job. Had her eyes betrayed her?

The girl's mouth dropped forming the shape of an 'O'. Her face flushed when the girl began complimenting the drawing exclaiming that it was really good. Although her apology and sudden statement through Sakura off. "Insulting you? I'm sorry but this is really just simple work for me to be honest."
Sakura shook her head as she shut her sketchbook. "What's your name by the way? I'm Sakura Kato. First year in Slytherin. I'm guessing you're a Ravenclaw judging off you scarf.". She reaches her hand out for the other girl to shake. A simple friendly gesture. Perhaps if this girl didn't get scared off by the mention of her house name they could be friends. The girl looked friendly enough but who knows. You can never judge someone based off their looks whether judging them for good or for bad.

Reflections of a New Friendship
Simple work ? When Dove heard these words leaving the girl's mouth sherealised she had an artist right next to her. That's so cool. she thought for a moment, but the sound of the sketchbook being closed brang her back to reality.
The girl decided to introduce herself. Sakura, is it japanese ? She wasn't very good at gessing someone origins. She noticed Sakura was helding out her hand to her, so Dove reached it with a big smile to shake her hand.
"I am Dove Cullen. And yes, you are guessing right !"
She realised she was still shaking her hand so she left it instantly, and searched some topic of conversation to avoid that embarassment.
"Slytherin ? I've never met someone in this house before. Well, except my mother but it doesn't count. I'm happy to meet you."
She knew Slytherin was a house that could have some bad reputation, but Dove found it fascinating. Her mother was her role model in her life, she loved her personality, so if Dove ended up in this house instead of Ravenclaw, she would have been as happy as she was now.
"Oh and by the way I'm also in first year, but I suppose you noticed it too ahah."
Yeah... Even though Dove loved her mother, she had her face and with that, the fact that she looked younger than her actual age. But anyway, she looked at Sakura. She seemed nice too, maybe they could be friend ?
