History/Background Story:
Born on a foggy October 11th to Harry and Serena Monroe, Sariel Capella Monroe came into the world with bounding determination and a set of lungs that could make her presence known through the entire maternity ward. Her witch mother and muggle father were never more proud at 2:47am, though their reasons were very different. Harry looked down at his daughter, ready for her to take on the world and proud as any father would be, unsuspecting that his wife was gazing down at their bundle of joy hoping that someday she would make a wonderful woman and witch.
Sariel grew and showed no sign of her mother's more magical parentage until one day a taken cookie rendered a temper tantrum from their otherwise very easy to please baby. The tantrum revealed more than just a will to have her cookie, but also set the trees of their yard and several neighbor's yards aflame. Naturally, more than one question had to be answered and on November 1st at 9:02pm amid the charred trees and terrified neighborhood, Harry Monroe discovered his wife was, in fact, a witch, an Herbologist, (which explained their expansive garden she insisted on maintaining) and his little girl earned her magical abilities from her mother.
Handling the shock rather well, Mr. Monroe set out to give his little girl the best life he could in such a new, magical world, and Serena offered they should move back to her to her magical community of Edinburgh. Harry readily agreed and at the age of three, Sariel found herself in her new home in a quiet, but utterly magic filled streets of Edinburgh, Scotland.
Living in a home divided and brought together by both magical and muggle influences, Sariel grew to appreciate both traditions. Her mother taught her how to garden for the use of Herbology while her father taught her to tinker with i-phones, computers. Both of her parents encouraged a sense of adventure, allowing her to form friendships with muggles and magical children alike. Not only did she play on the junior soccer league, but also played as a beater on the neighborhood Quidditch team. However, she was unable to share both worlds with all of her friends combined, and small mishaps of magic often lead to trouble for her. A small incident involving disappearing acts and a wild gnome ruining a garden party served to alienate more of her muggle friends, whom she couldn't explain the incident to.
Still, Sariel grew up with determination as she tried to ignore the growing divide between her muggle life and her magical one. Eventually, her letter from Hogwarts arrived and prompted her to choose the path of a witch, to the pride of both of her parents. She has a high interest in Herbology, potion making and Transfiguration, all subjects her mother enjoyed and looks forward to the chance to study at the school. However, she would be lying if she said that there wouldn't be a sense of loss regarding her muggle friends who believe her to be away at a private boarding school in London.
