─────Alex usually had a rather strict schedule for herself on the weekends, as she was determined to spend as much time as possible studying to keep all her grades as O's. But this particular Saturday had a bit of a surprise to it.

She woke up at 7:00am as normal and got dressed in a grey and white sweater and jeans, put her hair into two French braids that fell just past her shoulder blades. The young Gryffindor girl grabbed her bag with her sketchbook and drawing supplies and headed down to breakfast. Alex just had time to place a raspberry Danish pastry on her plate before a handsome eagle owl landed abruptly next to her. She flinched back in surprise and let out a sigh as she recognized the owl. Vaya, Alex's father's owl, had landed next to her with a soft blue envelope in its mouth.

"Oh, hello. Mind if I take this...?" the wary girl asked the owl, cautiously reaching out to take the letter. Alex had never been a big fan of birds, especially large ones like Vaya. I wonder why Father has sent me a letter... He and Mother haven't sent me a single letter since the beginning of my first year. And I'm quite sure Mother's assistant wrote that one. She inspected the envelope for a moment before opening it, revealing a small slip of paper. She unfolded the letter as Vaya flew off, it read:
Alexandria,

─────I apologize if this reaches up at an inconvenient time. Both your grandmother and grandfather will be in Greece to attend your great-grandmother's funeral from October 1st to the end of April. Seeing as they will not be at the manor for roughly the rest of your school year, there is not much reason for you to return home during any of your school breaks.

Best regards,
Michael Clark
Alex slowly folded the letter in half again and gently placed it on the table. "Right... okay then," she whispered quietly to herself, still trying to process her father's insensitive letter. She sighed and shook her hand as she crumpled up the letter, Did he really just tell me that they don't want me to come home? She had always figured that her parents were simply too busy with work to spend much time with her, never did she ever consider that they didn't want to see her. Being their only child, Alex thought she held some importance to her parents, but the letter she was holding said otherwise.

She rested her head in her hands as a silent tear rolled down her cheek. They make it so easy to want to hate them...

This morning Anthony has two big rings under his eyes, last night wasn't one of his bests; the stuck thinking of the lack of his family was on his mind and he hasn't gotten used to stay away from home yet. The guy probably needs some company but his introvert attitude complicates the things. Anthony would be still dizzled from the few hours of sleep he had but now, the only thing he wants now, is being active and distract. He stands up, washes his face and gets dressed. Today he wants to feel comfortable and wears a a black suit and a dark red hoodie, puts some gel in his hair and slowly prepares his Italian tuft. Before leaving the common room and going to have breakfast, he prepares his bag with a notebook for marking notes because today he would like to study and a deck of French cards. Once everything is ready, he will look in the mirror, hint a smile and leave his dormitory for heading down to the Great Hall.

When he reaches there he takes the breakfast and the first thing he does is walking to the first free spot for sitting not paying attention to who is occupying adjacent seats. Anthony has fresh eggs and grilled bacon and as he woke up very hungry, he starts eating his meal finishing it quickly. When he's done, he wipes his lips and finally looks up and, with a surprised face, notices that there is a girl in front of him who is clearly in a bad mood and shyly talks to her, noticing a falling tear from her deep brown eyes: "Hi.. are you crying? What is going on?" He would stare her in the eyes, feeling that something bad could have happened and wanted to reassure her. "Do you want to talk?" says standing up and sitting next to her, still having those two big rings under his eyes which were not very presentable.
