Wandering Past Curfew
DATE: 2/10/24
TIME: 1AM
Emiline hadn't slept. She had been tossing and turning for hours now. Her head was hurting. Her eyes were burning with the need to sleep. But she couldn't. Her mind was bubbling with worries and concerns. Keeping her awake. She had enough. She remembered something about a 'worry' tree being mentioned in L.A.o.K. She made a rash decision to go to the tree now. In the middle of the night. She quietly put on her black cloak and slipped on her shoes. Cautiously she crept out of Hufflepuff. In the back of her mind a thought whispered 'What if a professor finds you or a prefect?' Emiline ignored the voice and carried on walking into the night.
The night was cold and the pale crescent moon shone like a silvery claw in-between the clouds. Even though Emiline had been outside for only a few minutes her fingers ached in the cold air as she clenched them, trying to keep the feeling in her fingertips. She quickened her pace to a brisk walk. Her mind was still crowded with the thoughts. She was soon there. At the base of the 'worry' tree. She pulled a piece of paper out of her pocket and started writing.
Emiline's emotions slowly enveloped her. Tears rolled down her face silently. Her eyes stinging from the cold. She sniffled and picked herself up to leave. A light rain had begun to fall, slowly but surely soaking the down heartened girl. She slowly started to trudge back to the castle.

Heya, I am really stressed at the moment. My anger is really getting in the way of my friendships. I get angry so quickly and in the moment and I hurt people and I don't know how control it. What should I do?

Wandering Past Curfew
Suddenly Karina sees Emiline Hunter wandering towards the castle. She had, had a feeling that someone was out of bed and had heard many weird noises that night. Just minutes earlier she was in her dormitory hearing horrible noises coming from the courtyard. She quickly got dressed and ran to see what was going on. The sky was stormy but she still heard noises from what appeared to be coming from behind the bushes. Karina shivered; howling wind sent chills running down her spine as it led her head to turn towards strange noises. With each step she took, she was getting closer to the sound of footsteps crunching on gravel seemed to come from behind the bushes.
Karina approached cautiously, looking into the dark of the grounds for any sign of movement. Then, out of the dark, a figure emerged, and to her astonishment, it was Emiline Hunter, one of the dwellers within Hogwarts.
"Emiline, what are you doing out here?" Karina called in a voice that had begun to shake. Karina hadn't known many students of this school, but she knew Emiline because she passed her down the halls everyday on her way to her 3rd hour class.
Together Karina and Emiline stepped out into the courtyard, their hearts pounding at what they might find. There was a low growl, somewhere in the darkness, and then the sound of claws on stone.
The dark shape rose out of the bushes; they were paralyzed with fear as their eyes set on something dark and hazy rising out of the bushes. The two girls couldn't tell what it was because the moment the figure appeared out of the bushes, they started to run.
When they arrived to the castle, Karina had to ask; "Emiline, what were you doing out there? Why are you in tears?"

Wandering Past Curfew
TIME: 2.30am
As Emiline started to move toward the castle, she heard someone call her name. What? Who else was out this late? Why was that voice shaking? She thought. Emiline turned to the voice. By a quick glance Emiline realized that this girl was a first year, her neat uniform and height gave it away. This girl seemed to know her. Have we met? I must have talked to her if she knows my name, right? Emiline quickly thought of all the people she had met during her time in Hogwarts, there were so many people. Best to just feign knowing them for a bit. She came to the conclusion her mind. Now to find out why the girl's voice was shaking and why she was also out late.
The girl walked beside her, Emiline barely noticed, she was so lost in her thoughts. But a low growl and claws scraping on stone jerked her out of her thoughts. Her head snapped up and Emiline quickly glanced around. She noticed a shape emerge out of the shadows. Emiline shifted her body so she was slightly in front of the younger year and whipped out her wand. I'll fight this thing if I have to, just to make sure that this younger year gets to the castle safely. Emiline thought in the moment of fear. As in appeared to come closer, Emiline grabbed the girl's hand and ran towards the castle. The gloomy grounds, seemed to last forever as they ran. Her mind racing, Emiline kept glancing back to check on the girl. She seemed to be terrified. The girl's eyes were glazed over as they ran, the girl's imagination taking over.
After far too long, they arrived at the castle. The warm candle light a welcoming contrast to the suffocating darkness. She heard the girl ask something but Emiline just pulled her towards the wall and made a 'shush' gesture. After a moment of silence, Emiline turned to the girl. "Do you have any idea what that was. They could have easily killed us, I'm honestly surprised they let us run, normally they give the chase."Emiline sighed, she didn't mean to be so harsh on the girl but she needed to understand the dangers of the forest, and she couldn't wander out in the middle of the night without telling anyone. "Sorry, I shouldn't have had a outburst like that, I was just worried about you." She explained trying to fix the conversation. She gave a small smile. Her heart was still beating way too fast. "We need to calm down, my heart is still racing, breathe with me. In and. Out. In and. Out. In and out." Soon, her heart began to relax. The adrenaline that had pumped her body slowly decreased. Her mind now able to remember the question asked earlier. "I was going the 'worry' tree, I guess I forgot how dangerous the night could be, And I was only crying because I got a bit overwhelmed. Anyways, we should go inside."Emiline motioned for the girl to go ahead of her, and PING her mind remembered the girl's name."After you, Karina" And Emiline would follow the younger year.

Wandering Past Curfew
Time: 5a.m.
It was like Emiline and Karina narrowly escaped the most terrifying moment on the grounds of Hogwarts, surrounded by a pack of wolves growling and showing their teeth at them, threatening to eat them alive. Fortunately, Emiline had taken Karina's hand and rushed her out of danger.
But Karina was safe now. It had been almost 3 hours since it had happened. Normally Karina was brave, but she had never was really attacked by wolves so she was terrified. She couldn't sleep. Knowing what she had been through and knowing that wolves were out there. Her eyes were really red, even more red then when Karina found Emiline outside, crying by a tree. Karina was sure that she was never going outside alone, but she couldn't just let students sneak outside and be found by wolves.
Time: 2nd Hour going on 3rd hour of Classes
Karina wanted to find Emiline to tell her, her plan. It was almost time for her 3rd hour class. 10 minutes, the teacher talked about the rules a little more. 6 minutes she slowly began packing up. 3 minutes, 2, 1. The class was dismissed. She had ran out the door, being the first one out, she made it through the halls, looking for Emiline, wanting to thank her but also to tell her about her plan. The moment she saw Emiline, Karina walked around her, as if she didn't exist. Why? Was she scared of talking to her hero? Suddenly, tears ran down her cheeks and she exploded into a loud cry. Just the thought of last night, just the sound of the wolves' snarls, just the thought of almost dying. She stood by the wall where she crouched into a ball and cried. She was sure that Emiline noticed her.
