The front of the train let out a loud whistle, and the steam of the locomotive rose up into the somewhat stuffy air of the train station. The smell of the rain on the streets outside was still stuck in Erin's nose. But Erin paid little mind to it, there were more important things going on around him after all.

In fact, everything that was happening around him was more important than some smell in his nose. He could hardly focus on one thing. So many new things happening around him.
Erin exhaled deeply, a bit stressed by the situation which he had never found himself in before. People everywhere, of almost all age groups. Although it was noticeable that the most people were of young age, the same age as Erin himself or older than him.

Erin watched as others interacted with their parents, their grandparents, or other relatives. Seeing this, Erin wishes his own parents were here to stay by his side. Even though Erin knew that he has to do this journey on his own, he does miss his mother's caring words a little, which are always able to lift his spirits. And even though he was a bit disappointed that his parents couldn't be here with him, Erin was excited to get into the adventure that is Hogwarts. Or this entire thing in general. Erin lifted his luggage, which was heavier than expected. The weight was probably thanks to all those books he had to buy for the year.

This was all surreal, and Erin wasn't sure if he managed to grasp it all yet. He never would have known that there was an entire world of magic... and it was so different than what anyone, who wasn't involved, could imagine.

Lost in his thoughts, Erin boarded the train, and accidentally bumped into a few people with his luggage, thanks to him being caught up in his mind. "Free seat, free seat... ah!" Erin mumbled to himself, as he found what he was looking for. An empty compartment. Normally, Erin was not the person to be alone, usually seeking contact with other people. But he'd rather not intrude on any existing groups... and he didn't know anyone here.
