Siobhan was quite excited to enter the magical world for the first time in nearly three months. While life on the farm had been plenty productive and eventful, it had for the first time ever, felt as though it just wasn't enough. For the first couple of weeks she had to get used to not having classes, and had been bombarded by the latest updates from her brothers and sisters about what was happening in their own world, while she tried desperately to remain tight-lipped about her own adventures.

As all things must come to an end, Siobhan had seen the final sunset on the farm before it was time for her to begin preapring for the adventure that lay ahead in her next year at Hogwarts. Though unlike this first year, she would have to prepare with someone other than her Ma and Pa as they were in the midst of their own adventure with one of her brothers Cillian.

Cillian had been accepted to a muggle university in southern Ireland on a full ride soccer scholarship. It was a sense of celebration for the McCarty family, but unfortunately it would coincide with the day that the family had originally set aside to take Siobhan to London for her new school supplies. For nearly three weeks, the family had debated how to send her into the magical world without losing her to herself and her wanderings. After some debate, and a hastily written letter to one of her professors, they had resolved to send Siobhan with her oldest brother Eoghan to collect her newest supplies from Diagon Alley.

"Do you remember how to get into the alleyway?" Her Pa had grilled her over and over as she recited from memory the exact directions. Once they reached Charing Cross from the London Underground, Siobhan would escort herself and her brother inside, and into the back entrance to the Alley. Needless to say she was both extremely excited to introduce her favorite brother into her world. Throughout her first year at Hogwarts, whenever she had written home, she had written to her oldest brother seperately because he was always the brother that supported her the most. He was nearly out of the house, having started to get serious with his long-term girlfriend, and Siobhan felt that this would allow her that final activity that they would get together before he moved out.

Just as Siobhan had been mesmerized by the hidden world of magic, Eoghan couldn't help but take in the sights as he followed Siobhan around the street, struggling to keep the both of them on track and prevent them from using all of the money that they had for her supplies. Siobhan had managed to convince him to stay longer inside the bookstore as she perused a new selection of reading material for the upcoming year. Every other minute, she was answering a very hushed, very quick answer about something that existed in one world but not the other.

As her older brother looked around, sent on a wild goose chase for a book that was invisible, Siobhan stepped into a less crowded area of the book store as she perused a higher level charms book. She had been pleasently surprised by her abilities with her wand, despite her preference for not using it and wanted to have an insight to what may be taught in the years to come. Besides, it was rather crowded in the Alley and she needed a slower, quieter moment away from the hustle and bustle.

Uri had been quite happy to be home for a bit but he badly missed the magical world. Whoever said Disney World was the most magical place on earth was full of shit, because Hogwarts lays claim to that title without breaking a sweat. He'd grown up around magic with his parents but that didn't stop him from being amazed every time he set foot in the castle. The wonders truly never ceased. He hated his time in muggle school, it was so boring, but his parents wanted him exposed to his father's heritage before he entered their shared world. At Hogwarts, he loved all his classes and even looked forward to them, including those he was neither good at nor cared about. He was like a sponge, he wanted to absorb everything and learn as much as possible.

Today was particularly exciting for him because his mother had taken the day off work to take him to Diagon Alley to get his school supplies. The place was as amazing as he remembered it being the first time and once again he wished he could have his head on an actual swivel so that his eyes could dart from place to place. They'd made good time considering he wanted to go in every shop and buy everything. The highlight of the day thus far had been their trip to Quality Quidditch Supplies, where, in celebration of his good marks from last year, his mother had bought him his own broom, a Silver Arrow. He couldn't wait to get it to school and try it out, maybe he'd even try to join the Quidditch team this year.

They had gotten all his supplies and their last stop was Flourish and Blotts to get his books for the new year. His mother encouraged him to read for fun as well for classes and told him she would buy him an extra book of his choice. While she went about the business of grabbing the required books, he walked around and perused the stacks for something to catch his eye. The class he was most interested in was Potions. He found it fascinating and also found that he was quite good at it. He grabbed a book about sourcing the best ingredients and stretching them to get as much use as possible and was heading up toward the front when he saw a familiar face in front of him. Her face was buried in a book and, remembering their first encounter, ensured he was outside punching distance when he said, "Hello Siobhan!" with a warm smile.

Upon hearing her name, Siobhan looked up from over the edge of her book and felt her eyes qiden as she put two and two together, and identified that the voice belonged to the young man she had punched at the prior semester's Spring Ball. Perhaps if she looked back at her book and ignored him, he would realize that he was mistaken with who she was and that he would wander off. The mortifcation hadn't fully worn off from the incident even though they had left off on amicable terms, but there was no way that she could hide this incident from her brother if he was lurking about.

Ultimately politeness won out and she closed her book, standing up with a polite smile. She was anything if not polite and it seemed as though he had learned from his lesson the last time and was standing at least a good foot away from her lest he earn a kick to the shin rom where she had been sitting. She cradled the book she had been reading closer to her chest.

"Hello Uri. It's quite funny to run into you- Or well, I suppose it's more of a coincidence. Have you had a pleasant summer? Are you here by yourself? I'm afraid I was here with my brother but I do believe that I've sent him on a wild goose chase, to get him off of my back for a few moments." Siobhan said as she took a quick glance around to see if her older brother had wandered back into the shop. She hoped he hadn't wandered too far and gotten himself stuck in a place of which he could not get out.

"I hope you've been able to gather all your supplies without much fuss. I've been in Diagon Alley for about six hours now, and my brother has insisted on stopping in every store we possibly can. He's quite enthralled by the sights around here. Though I do think he's going to attempt to purchase a racing broom from the Quidditch Store. I can't possibly begin to think about how I am to explain that conundrum to our parents." Siobhan sighed as she started to reshelve the books she had pulled out to read while she took a moment to herself. She was hesitant to reshelve one of them however, as she had become rather interested in the subject of Ancient Runes over the summer. She doubted however that they had enough money to spend on frivolous items... Their Pa had only given them enough muggle money to exchange for all her supplies and one extra set of robes due to her signifigant growth spurt over the summer.

Looking at Uri, she could see she was a good inch or so taller than him now. She'd grown about two inches over the summer and judging from her mother's reaction when she had grown the last one, she didn't suspect her height would stall for quite sometime. Her sleeves barely reached her wrists, and her socks were visible along her ankles, no longer covered by her jeans.

"Is there anything that you're particularly looking forward too this coming year? I'm quite excited about the next rounds of duels and to continue our Herbology lessons. I was thinking about asking our Professor if I could perhaps have some magical seeds to start a magical garden on my family's farm." She said as she noticed that he two was clutching a book that wasn't included on their required reading list.

"Is that a potions book? Which one? I absolutely adored Potions last year and I'm excited for the new year to start brewing more concoctions. Perhaps we could practice brewing together? If that's alright with you." Siobhan said as she fidgeted with the Runes book in her hand.
