Parting...
Cassandra woke up that morning full of nerves and excitement, she was finally going to Hogwarts. She couldn't, though, bear the thought of leaving her precious family. But, she had more exciting things to think about, being sorted and being able to become great. "Cassandra, come downstairs, my wee hen!" Her mum cried out. She hurried down the stairs as quick as a Quidditch player trying to catch the Snitch. "Now I know we've got to go to King's Cross via portkey in half an hour but I wanted to give you this." Her mum outstretched her hand and gave her a special gift, dazzling barrets. Cassandra couldn't thank her mum enough.
An hour later Cassandra ran through the wall between platform 9 and 10 and words could not describe how in awe she was. A flurry of luggage carts, bustling crowds and the cries of families filled Cassandra's vision and hearing. She was overwhelmed. "All first years, please board the train!" The conductor bellowed, his gruff voice resounding through the platform "I'd better go!" Cassandra cried. Her mum wouldn't let go of her. Cassandra pulled away. She gave one last hug to her Mum and boarded the train. This journey would bring her new friends and memories to last for possibly her whole life
