When you first meet Emery they are shy and don't talk very much. They tend to avoid strangers, but when they have to they will speak to them in short sentences. The only time they will go out of their way to talk to a stranger is if it is a classmate or dormmate they need to speak with about something important.

How they met: Kyle and Emery met at a cousin’s house. They quickly became friends and since they were family they would regularly hang out. Kyle is a halfblood, his dad is Emery’s uncle on their dad’s side. .

Emery had a decent homelife with what she had. Her mother treated her the best, constantly taking care of her when she wasn't working. Emery's father was rarely around but when he was around he treated her terribly like he didn't want her in the house. Emery's sister would always play with her when their mom was busy or working and sometimes read her stories. Emery got bullied in elementary school for being different than everyone else.

First Instance Of Magic

Emery was half way through third grade. At 9 years of age they had a lot of issues with school. It had already been a long day and Emery had managed to get herself trapped between the lockers and a few of her bullies. The bullies had taken a habit of calling her names and being horrid towards her in any way they could. It wasn't as bad when Kyle was around as they seemed to be scared of him. They'd had enough of these children though. She suddenly shoved the center bully and yelled at him to stop. With her shove and yell every locker in the observable hallway slammed open. When later asked how it happened she said she didn't know. The next day it was as if the lockers had never been part of the incident.
