towards the future
LYDIA ISLEEN
It was a cloudy day in London when Lydia Isleen, an eleven-year-old girl with curly hair and curious eyes, received the letter that would change her life forever. The letter, written in elegant calligraphy, invited her to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Lydia couldn't believe it. She had dreamed of being a witch for as long as she could remember, but she never imagined that she would actually be able to attend a magic school.
On the day of her departure, Lydia woke up with a mix of excitement and nervousness. She dressed in her best clothes and made sure to bring with her her potions book, a gift from her grandmother, and a small mirror her mother had given her to remind her to always be brave. With his suitcase in hand, he headed to King's Cross train station.
When he arrived, his heart was pounding. He looked for platform 9¾, the place where Hogwarts students boarded the Hogwarts Express. After a few moments of hesitation, he gathered his courage and ran towards the wall separating the platforms. To his amazement, he crossed the barrier and found himself in the middle of a moving scene: a bright red train was waiting, full of students laughing and talking.
Lydia boarded the train and found a seat next to a girl with straight hair and blue eyes. "Hello! I'm Nancy," the girl said with a smile. The two quickly became friends and shared stories about their families and their hopes for the new school year. The excitement in the air was palpable as the train began to move.
After a journey full of laughter and gossip, the train finally arrived at Hogwarts. From the train, Lydia could see the majestic castle illuminated by the moon, reflecting in the lake. It was a sight he would never forget. Upon disembarking, the students were directed to the Great Hall, where the selection ceremony would take place.
Lydia felt nervous as she saw the older students sitting at the tables of the four houses: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Hearing his name, he approached the sorting hat, which seemed to have a life of its own. After a brief moment of hesitation, the hat shouted, "Gryffindor!" A whisper of joy filled the air, and Lydia joined her new classmates at the Gryffindor table, finally feeling at home.
