A Gloomy Day PV Aravis Escanora Closed

Aravis was sat on a bench under a tree in a park. She was waiting for her family to get back from a nearby shop, they were buying her hair dye so she could dye it silver. Her Aunt had been against it until Aravis said it would be temporary. She loved her Raven hair too much to give it up forever. If she didn't like it, she could wash it out. She hadn't wanted to come to the park in the first place. She turned a page in a book she was reading before looking up, tucking a strand of black hair behind her ear. Another person was sat on a different bench. Aravis assumed it was a muggle or someone she shouldn't talk to. She wished it was twilight. The time the fireflies came out and danced in the sky. Her mother had always like fireflies. They lit up the dark sky in a gorgeous golden color. However, as much as she wished, no fireflies came out of the ground. It was simply too early in the day for them to dance about and glitter. 

A sudden bright light caught the young Escanora's attention. As she began to walk over to it someone bumped into her. Jumping back the black haired girl stared at the other person in a defensive position. They only looked a year or two younger but you never know, muggles could be crazy.

“Oh er... Hello fellow muggle, sorry about that!” Jane said foolishly calling the other girl a muggle, suddenly noticing their mistake they tried to fix it, “I um meant ma’am?” They said quickly not even thinking more about a way to cover their mistake. From the corner of their eye Jane could see the tiny glowing thingy, will this girl accept their apology? Jane thought as they did not want to appear rude and pushed the girl out of their way.

Jane suddenly felt a giant splash of water on them. It had just started to pour rain. “Oh great...” Jane muttered wishing that they were some great wix who could change the weather to just gloomy and take away the rain. Just as they turned to look at wher the glow thing went it was gone, most probably because of the rain that out of no-where decided to pour, making Jane feel miserable. That glowing thing could of stopped their boredom and put them in an adventure! With a sigh Jane looked st the girl with their disappointed expression, bloody rain! I hate you! they thought to themselves looking at the sky but that was a bad idea just as rain droplets went into their eyes.

Aravis stared blankly at the other girl. Muggle. Anyone would know I'm a pure blood in the wizarding community. She thought to herself. "I'm a pure-blood. Member of the Escanora-Haven family." The black haired girl stated. She was unsure of what to do. She had been called a muggle, was alone in a park, and some glowy thing was vanishing. What a day. 

As it started to rain Aravis smiled. She liked the rain. It would wash away all of her pain. Or so it seemed. She put the book she had been reading in her bag before fastening the golden buckle on it. 

"My name is Aravis. Aravis Isolde Escanora. And who might you be?" She said before seeing  familiar figures behind the girl a far distance away. Her family had left the shop but got stopped at something else. Her youngest brother had his eyes glued on the window of a candy shop. She watched as her family entered the candy shop. Aravis hoped they would get her a piece or two as well. Knowing how indecisive her younger brother was, she knew she would be at the park for a while. 

The Raven haired girl turned her attention back to the person who had bumped into her, waiting for a response.

“Oh sorry for calling you a muggle, I’m Jane Victoria a pure blood too! Oh and call me Jay,” Jane introduced themselves as they soon decided to ignore the rain. Jane looked back at the distant manor and saw a small red flashing light, my guardian... “Um sorry but I have to go! Nice meeting you!” Jane called out as they quickly ran away towards their manor.

ane was looking out to the gloomy day, they couldn’t believe it! In September 1st (in which was in 14 days) they were going to Hogwarts, a school of magic and that Jane did not like. They have been through so much already and living a bit happily with their new guardian and family. With a sigh Jane opened the window just as they saw a ray of light come out of one of the clouds but it became gloomy again and started to pour rain. They jumped back and tripped on the floor as the water came in and made the floor slippery, Jane groaned and got up without the usual calling out their guardians name and asking for help to clean the floor they simply hopped into the window ledge and sat dangerously with their legs dangling out- three floors high to be exact.

They suddenly then thought about the other girl they met the other day, quickly running into their closet to get a cloak Jane slipped it on as they ran down the stairs. Hopefully as they ran around that are that they would bump into the girl once again...

Aravis listened unsure of how to react to the person in front of her. It was an odd day. She watched as her family walked out of the shop edging closer to her, it was almost time to leave the park. She moved her black hair out of her face. Soon she would be able to dye it that gorgeous silver color she loved. "It's fine I suppose. Nice to meet you Jay." Aravis said with a kind smile, he accent kicking in much more than she liked. Even though she was British she seemed to pick up on her Father's Russian accent. Almost as soon as Jay had introduced them self they had to leave. It's fine. A pleasure to meet you." She said with a smile. 

As she watched Jay run off her family walked up to her. "Aravis, we are taking Lucien to the hospital, we will be back later." Her Aunt said without assuring Aravis that her brother was ok. It was his regular check up day so Aravis was used to it. One family member decided to stay with her, Calah, her older step-brother. They watched as Lucien, Maven, Alice, her father, and their Aunt and Uncle walked away without another word. She would be sat at the park for who knows how long.
