Off to Hogwarts
Chloe Blackwood was walking in Kings Cross Station with her family. She could hardly wait to get to Platform 9 ¾ as it was her first year. She kept urging on her family to walk faster. She had her owl and her Hogwarts trunk. She had just turned 11 the day before and the owl was one of her presents. Her parents had stopped to talk to another family that were also going to Hogwarts. She went over to her dad and tugged on his arm. They had gotten there with loads of time to spare but she really wanted to go so she could get on the train. Her dad gently pushed her off and said "Chloe we'll be done talking soon. Besides we have plenty of time. Just be patient." Patient? How could she be patient? She had wanted to go to Hogwarts since forever. For years she had to hear about her sisters Hazel and Evie going to Hogwarts. She really wanted to know what house she would be in, make some friends, and of course learn magic. She walked over to her mom and tapped her. "Mum please. Can we go now?" Her mom laughed in the conversation she was having and said "Alright I'm not going to keep Chloe any longer, shall we head to Platform 9 ¾?" Chloe was so excited she practically skipped there. Once they arrived at the wall between platforms 9 and 10 her dad stopped. "Alright kids are you ready to go to Platform 9 ¾?" Chloe had gone to Platform 9 ¾ before but never as a student. "Hazel you first." Chloe's mum said. Hazel jogged through the wall and then she was gone. "Come on Evie you next," her mum said again. Evie ran at the wall and was gone. "Ok Chloe your turn" Chloe's dad said. Chloe hesitated. She was really excited but also nervous. She had to run at the wall with her luggage and she wanted to do it alone. Her mum said "Chloe it's ok if you want me to go with you." Chloe shook her head. "No I want to do it myself." Chloe took a deep breath in and ran at the wall. When she got through she could see the huge Hogwarts Express there and she joined her siblings. "Wow, I can't believe you get to ride that." Chloe said. "It's not that cool, Chloe" Evie said. "What if I don't find anyone to sit with me? Can I sit with you?" Chloe asked Hazel. Hazel shook her head. "No I have to be in the prefects compartment." Hazel said. "But Chloe I'm sure you'll find someone." Their parents had joined them by now. "Ok girls have fun there and don't get into trouble." Their mum said. "By Hazel, Bye Evie, Bye Chloe! Have fun!" Their dad said. "Mum Dad can I talk to you for a second?" Chloe said. "I know you said there are no bad houses but none of you guys were sorted into Slytherin. Dad you were in Gryffindor and Mum you were in Ravenclaw. Is it bad if I am sorted into Slytherin?" Her parents looked surprised." Of course not" Her dad said. "Slytherin is a house full of ambition and loyalty and cunningness. It's a great house." "Besides loads of the smartest people in our year were in Slytherin. Ravenclaw isn't the only smart house." Her mum said. "Any house you're in, we'll be proud of you." "Promise?" Chloe asked."Promise." Her parents said together. "Now go have fun." Her dad said. "Bye mum! Bye dad!" Chloe said. "Bye Chloe love you!" Both her parents said. Chloe walked to the train some of her energy from before coming back. Her parents were right no matter the house Hogwarts was going to be amazing. And she was going to make them proud.
Off to Hogwarts
Hi
Am a first year ravenckaw at Hogwarts .
Was walking to the platform on 1 September 2024 to get on the Hogwarts Express.
While walking I was quite nervous and many irrelevant thoughts were crossing my mind like what if I am not suitable for any house or what if my family is not happy about the my Hogwarts house. I suddenly stopped walking and made an excuse of tying my sholace, my father saw through it and asked me "Aaditi what happened why are you not boarding the train" after seeing me hesitating he asked "Are you scared about your sorting." I replied "Yes papa what if I am not suitable for any house or what if I am not a good witch." My father smiled and replie " It not possible that a girl like you who is friendly, hardworking and intelligent to not be suitable for Hogwarts and I have faith in you that you will make us proud." After hearing his answer I got some confidence and said in a fake arrogant tone "Yes I am the best and any house should feel lucky that I am a member of that house" we both laughed heartedly and then after a sad good bye to my parents I boarded the train and went towards an empty compartment in the middle of the train.
