Sonya sat at the counter, slowly drinking Butterbeer. She was wearing jeans, a grey hoodie, boots, and had a backpack and a large trunk with her.
About 20 minutes ago, Sonya had arrived at the Leaky Cauldron thanks to her aunt, where she would be staying the night until heading to King's Cross the next day. She would rather taking a Portkey to the station or just side-along apparating there with her aunt or Grandparents (They were visiting), but her mother had taken a turn for the worse and her aunt and Grandparents agreed Sonya shouldn't have to see it.
When Sonya was very young, her parents did something to make someone powerful mad, which lead to Sonya's father dying and her mother going mad, needing special potions to stay in-control. On top of that, Sonya gained a reputation for being cursed, despite NOT being cursed.
Sonya drank the rest of her Butterbeer and signaled to the Bartender. "Oi! Can I get another?"
As the bartender gave me a refill of tasty Butterbeer and she paid them, someone sat next to her, and out of the corner of her eye, Sonya could tell they were a Hogwarts student, mostly from age.

Aria had a pretty busy last few days. After getting her acceptance letter to Hogwarts about a month ago, there has been nothing else on her mind. Every day, all she has been able to think about is Hogwarts. The past few days, she has been taking trips to Diagon Alley with her mother to buy her brand new school supplies. Lucky for Aria, she is the oldest sibling, so she gets brand new supplies, not hand me downs!

Earlier in the day, Aria and her mother got a room at the Leaky Cauldron so they can have a smaller travel day the next day to Kings Cross Station. Aria's mother decided to take nap in the room, but Aria couldn't sleep now! How could she?! It was the night before Hogwarts! Aria decided to go down to the Leaky cauldron counter and have a drink of butter beer. When she got downstairs, she saw a girl already sitting at the counter, that looked around Aria's age.

I bet she's another Hogwarts student!

Being the out going person she is, Aria made her way to the counter and sat next to the girl.

One Butter Beer please! Hey! I'm Aria Wright. Are you going to Hogwarts too?

"One Butter Beer please! Hey! I'm Aria Wright. Are you going to Hogwarts too?"
Sonya was shocked that such a cheerful person would sit next to her. For God's sake, she looks like an runaway emo.
Well, without the multicolored hair, she would.
Sonya scanned the girl. She was wearing simple but nice clothes and had her hair done nicely, suggesting the mystery girl takes pride in her appearance and is well-off enough to get to have a little fun with her outfits. She also was very nearly bouncing up and down in her seat, mostly likely because of the next day. After all, a first day at a literal magic school would excite nearly anyone.
She looked at the cheerful student and nodded, deciding to interact with the upbeat girl. "Yes, I am. And I'm going to assume your a first year, given the fact you look like you HAVEN'T had to dodge dungbombs and Fanged Frisbees for a bloody year." She took another sip of Butterbeer and added. "Name's Sonya. Sonya Herrera."
She then thought for a second and swore. "Should have said my last name first, like James Bond. Woulda been cooler."
She then drank a bit more Butterbeer, hoping she didn't fumble an interaction with a new person. You only get to make one first impression, after all.

Aria's smile faded a bit. It seemed that this girl was not to excited about Hogwarts from the tone she was using. She could have at least tried to be a little more welcoming!

Name's Sonya. Sonya Herrera. Should have said my last name first, like James Bond. Woulda been cooler.

Aria's smile came back a little bit. She had heard of this "James Bond" character before somewhere, although she couldn't remember where. Sonya seems like a very tough girl. So Aria decided that she was going to be tough back.

Yeah, you should have. My name is Wright. Aria Wright.

Aria looked up at Sonya and gave a smirky smile. Hopefully she would appreciate the joke. Aria tried to contain her laughter to keep her "tough girl" image, but she couldn't. She let out a small giggle and then came a huge laugh.

Aria said in between her laughing. Once she contained herself she looked up at Sonya, determined to make a good conversation.

So you've been to Hogwarts before. What's it like?

All Aria heard about Hogwarts was from her mother. Aria's mother had gone to Hogwarts for all seven years. It's where she met Aria's late father. Her mother made Hogwarts seem like this perfect amazing place where everything was amazing. But Aria would like a different perspective.

Annabeth was cold out on the street, so she decided to pop into the leaky cauldron and possibly have a drink. Shame she didn't know any wizards or witches yet, she would have loved to have come with friends. She looked around the place and spotted the bar pretty easily. She slid onto a barstool and looked to the right of her where to her surprise were two other Hogwarts students. Or at least, she assumed. They both looked roughly the same age as her.
Even though Annabeth was an outgoing person, she always got nervous around people her age for some reason. And besides, they were already chatting, no need to interrupt. Annabeth meant over the bar slightly and looked for the waiter. Finally, she caught his eye and she ordered a butterbeer. Her mum had told her about them and she was eager to try one. Once it arrived, she paid for it and tried a sip. It was disgustingly sweet... she liked it! (Annabeth has a bit of a sweet tooth) She went to take another drink but a random wizard rudely bumped into her and she spilt it over the girl sat next to her.
"Oh sh*t I'm so so sorry! I didnt mean to knock it onto you!" She frantically apologised to the girl next to her whilst desperately rummaging in her bag for some tissues.

Aria was happily chatting away with Sonya. She felt excited that she had met yet another person who was going to Hogwarts the next day. It seemed that all of Diagon Alley was full of Hogwarts students! It made sense of course, everyone had to buy their school supplies and clothes for the next term.

While Aria was talking to Sonya, she didn't even realize another girl that sat down next to her and ordered a butterbeer. Aria was so focused on her conversation, that the only thing that pulled her out of her focus was when the girl next to her spilled her drink all over Aria!

I'm so so sorry! I didnt mean to knock it onto you!

The girl turned to her left and instantly started searching through her purse for tissues. Aria felt the butter beer absorb into her clothes and she felt the warm liquid on her stomach.

Hey hey hey! It's okay! I'm clumsy all the time too. Please don't worry about it!

While it was true that Aria was a tad annoyed, she knew it was an accident. Aria turned to the bartender and asked for a stack of paper towels, which he gratefully gave her right away. As Aria continued to clean herself off, she spoke to this new girl.

I'm Aria by the way. I'll be a first year at Hogwarts, starting tomorrow. Are you going to Hogwarts too?
