Gemini’s father and mother (Jay and Amy Johnson, respectively) took a homeschooling approach to his education, in order for him to learn about both the wizard and muggle sides of most situations (he’s a half-blood, with his father as a wizard and mother as a muggle).

Gemini was an only child, and made friends with a boy named Jacob (muggle), who lived across the street (Gemini’s family lived in a landed neighbourhood with semi-D housing). He spent a lot of time learning American Sign Language (ASL) and fishing for hobbies as well as the usual academic subjects. He also plays a little of both muggle and wizard chess.

His father is a pure-blood wizard, but always had a certain amount of openness to the muggle ways, despite his heritage. He works as an Auror and is frequently away, but always finds time to spend with family and friends. Gem’s mother is a muggle who works as a librarian, and always brings home interesting books for Gem to read. She, of course, spends more time with Gem than his father, being at home more often. Both his parents always taught him to try and see situations and people from all sides, and try and imagine being someone else, and all that has made him very observant, and not as oblivious to the muggle or wizard influences in the world as some other students.

First Instance of Magic:
Gemini had had an argument with Jacob and just come home. He had nearly finished a drawing he had been making when his parents called him down for dinner, startling him. He accidentally damaged the drawing and inadvertently set the drawing on fire out of anger. He was 8 years old at this time.
