second day of class
Class was a bore. It was the start of her third year at Ilvermorny, and yet she was already feeling the exhaustion of classes weighing down on her. She loved the new classes, but it felt equally tiring to do them all. Thus, Estelle had dozed off during Charms at a point and had missed half of what they learnt. She didn't really mind. But her grades most definitely would.
Estelle tried her beat to pay attention for the next half, but honestly, she was better off asking for notes from someone later, because it was impossible to grasp anything because she let her mind wonder too much. It was a lost battle, anyway, so she gave up. Her mind kept scaling - thinking about home, thinking about dad. Over the holiday, she saw him, which was a rare occasion. But it was good. It really did lighten her mood a bit.
Estelle left her last class with an empty head, carrying her half-open bag and still books in her hand from trying to get out of class as fast as she could. Estelle really needed to buy a bigger bag. Why did she carry around so many books anyway? It wasn't like she had a thousand subjects a day. Estelle was just making a mental note that she should leave some books when she bumped into someone. And her books fell from her hands once again.
"Crap," Estelle muttered, crouching down to retrieve her fallen items. She looked up at the girl she had bumped into- a girl with blonde hair. She was probably in her year. Estelle gritted her teeth. "Watch where you're going, will you?"
