Set it off, go beserk private

The boy figured he'd go climb the Astronomy Tower since he was getting bored. In light of this he took off from his dormitory and slid on his shirt as he ran in the corridors to head off to the base of the astronomy tower.

When he arrived out there, the grass was dewy. He had, in his pocket, his slender wand, ready for use as necessary. The whole goal was for him to climb the tower, that was it. At the very least, to protect him, he would have the wand easily accessible. Just one reach towards his pocket and the quick thinking he would have to spongify the ground as protection.

The boy at least thought that much through. Now the other issue is how is he going to climb the tower? He leaned up against the tower trying to think of some spells that could help. Now, the goal was to climb not to fly or levitate, so Wingardium Leviosa was out.

He couldn't think of one. Oh, to heck with it. He drew out his wand and spoke the incantation to the Levitation spell. "Levioso" He tapped his shirt with the tip of the wand.

When he was two feet off the ground, he realized that the tower was much taller than he thought it would've been [he wasn't thinking it through ] He groaned before he cast the general counter-spell on himself. "Finite Incantatem." He dropped back on the ground.

He didn't have rope or anything, how was he to get up there?
