Aria was sitting on her front lawn again, scanning the sky, for the thousandth time this summer. She was looking for the owl that would deliver the letter that would change her life. Aria had been waiting so long for her acceptance letter from "Hogwarts". But it still hadn't come. How stupid of her to just assume she would be accepted anyways. Just because her entire family bloodline had attended Hogwarts, doesn't mean that she will be accepted. But she is a good kid! She is always kind, (except maybe to her brother), is super good at singing, and always gets perfect grades in school. After all, what's more important that education? This exact mindset is why Aria's entire family had been placed in Ravenclaw. And Aria was expected to live up to these expectations. Usually this would bother kids. Not being able to "be their own person" or whatever. But Aria was proud to be a Wright. All she ever wanted was to be placed in Ravenclaw and make herself and her family proud. But none of this could happen if she didn't get accepted into Hogwarts in the first place! Aria was so lost in her anxiety, that she almost didn't notice a flash of a white owl fly behind her.

What was that?!

She whipped her head around and screamed in excitement. There it was. A white snowy owl, holding a white envelope with a red stamp seal. The white owl soared around Aria and eventually dropped the letter in her lap. Aria burst inside her house, screaming at the top of her lungs, while still clutching the letter to her chest.

MOM! MOM! IT'S HERE! MY LETTER FROM HOGWARTS IS HERE!

Aria ran all the way to her mom's bedroom and ripped the letter open. Her mom watched over her shoulder as Aria quickly read. It was real. This was it.

Aria Wright is going to Hogwarts.
