Golden Dreams
Odessa had always wanted to make a name for herself.
She had big dreams as a witch. She had just read a book about the great muggle-born witches and how successful they became and it motivated her. Ever since Odessa found out that she was a witch, she decided that she wanted to be the greatest witch to come out of Hogwarts. She realized how big of a feat that would be, but she figured that if she tried her best, she would at least leave Hogwarts as an amazing student. One of her classmates had told her that there was a trophy room where she could look at all the possible accolades that a student could earn in the school and she could get an idea of which one she wanted to chase. The girl that told her had laughed slightly when Odessa told her what she wanted to be as a witch but she didn't take it to heart. She knew it sounded insane and impossible, but so did being a witch until she found out she was one.
Odessa walked down a corridor until she saw a room labeled Trophy Room and she stopped outside the door. "This room is full of accomplishments and amazing deeds. One day, I will be in here too" she said to herself. Odessa walked into the large trophy room, she couldn't help but be in awe. All around her, she saw gold, silver, and bronze trophies and medals boasted on every wall and in every nook and cranny of the room. There were beautiful mahogany stands that were holding beautiful silver, golden, and bronze shining trophies. Each one was encompassed by a glass case with a golden name tag stating the honor. There were banners hanging from the ceiling marking victories and honors that the school had received. There was an especially large trophy in the middle of the room that she heard was magically guarded. A spotlight shone down onto the trophy and in skinny italic letters, a plaque stated:
Quidditch house champions
She didn't know much about the sport Quidditch yet, after all, less than a month ago, she hadn't even known that she was even a witch at all. She looked at the most recent house victories and she saw a reoccuring trend of Gryffindor and Slytherin winning the cups with the occasional Ravenclaw and a very rare Hufflepuff win. She moved on to the other trophy cases. She found one that said:
Honor Students
"Hmmm" she thought to herself. "I suppose this one might be one I can start with.". Odessa smiled widely and slowly turned and walked out of the trophy room to head to the library. "I suppose that I might want to start studying if I want to become a honor student one day soon".

Odessa didn't know who exactly Cedric Diggory was, but she did know who Harry Potter was. She couldn't help but stare at the glowing cup held on display and she felt a cold shiver overtake her body. She decided to look at the other trophy cases. She didn't want to look at such an scary trophy or it would kill her mood. Instead, she looked around the room, not sure which case to check out since there were so many. Eventually, she walked over to a case that said:This is the Triwizard Cup. Won by Harry Potter in the final Triwizard tournament. This cup is held for display in memory of Cedric Diggory and as a reminder that Light will always strip the darkness of its power.
