A little devil; that seems like an apt description. Short, passionate, ginger, and exceptionally loud, Camilla makes her presence known in any activity she partakes in, be it basketball or sewing or, hell, even watching a particularly engaging TV show or card game. She enjoys meeting new people and doing new things.

Born to a wizard father and a muggle mother, Camilla had a somewhat interesting upbringing; often finding herself living a double life -- her father was a wizarding writer and a Chaser playing quidditch at a local club; while her mother worked some fancy corporate job. Neither side of his family could properly understand the other, and they were always left scrambling trying to find a proper narrative that made sense. Despite this, she had a happy upbringing, playing and growing with friends her age from worlds.

Camilla Carter is a bright-eyed, eleven-year-old whirlwind of a girl. Hailing from Rochester, her whole world is a curious blend of the muggle and the wizarding. Having grown up with a wizarding author for a father does tend to fill a little girl's head with songs and wonder; even as her muggle mother rooted a large part of their daily life in the mundane. The end result? A girl who is equally at home discussing the latest Quidditch match and soccer. Or Basketba -- okay, so she might like sports a little bit.

Camilla may have had a lot of friends, but her closest friends would always be her extended family. A slew of cousins, aunts, and uncles were always over for as long as she could remember, making her home always filled to the brim with action, excitement, and the pleasant buzz of conversation. In a lot of ways, Camilla's best friends might actually be her cousins.

Hogwarts is a dream come true for Camilla. The prospect of new friends, flying on a broom, and exploring the castle's ancient corridors; the sheer idea of adventure, fills her with an excitement that is simply contagious. While she's eager to dive headfirst into the wizarding world, she’s also a bit of a homebody, finding comfort in the familiar and the repetitive.

Oddly enough, her first instance of accidental magic happened when she had been introduced to basketball at age 8, by some of her older cousins. It was a source of immense frustration to her. Not the game itself, no -- dribbling the ball past larger kids was fun -- but the fact that no matter what she did or how many shots she managed to take, she could never sink a shot. The basket was simply much too high.

After failing at one shot, two shots, four, SEVEN, she could feel frustration building up inside her as hot, angry tears clouded her vision. And then, fuming and on the verge of tears, as she clear the defenders (who were more concerned about he than defending at this point) and jumped to take the shot, she had somehow managed to levitate herself right next to the basket to land her shot.
