Lemmy was on the tipping point of being overwhelmed. Not necessarily in a bad way, but his head was buzzing from the experiences over the past day. Just the day before he had been whisked off on the Hogwarts Express, took his first year boat ride, got sorted into Gryffindor and then absolutely stuff his guts at the start of year feast! It was an epic day that he would remember for the rest of his life, but it had left him a bit shell shocked. When he awoke the next morning he felt a little woozy still. Perhaps too much sugar or maybe one too many butter beers. He'd have to work on limiting himself at meal times less he turn into a dough ball himself. Anyways, he had washed up and donned his school robes for his very first day and followed the others back down to the Great Hall for breakfast.
A bit of toast and a little juice to wash it down was all that he was able to manage as his stomach felt a bit tight. It was an unusual feeling that Lemmy wasn't fully accustomed to. Sure, he had felt nervous before as that was a complexly normal human emotion, but this felt much heavier. Perhaps it was reality setting in on him. He was away from home and family for the first time. He was in a strange new place that was vast and full of strangers. There was an almost chaotic nature to the castle as the air buzzed with excitement and the chatter of his peers. It was all very exciting, but a tad scary too. The staff had provided him with his school schedule and though he could not wait to get his education started, the boy was worried about how to navigate this wonderful, but very large place.
With a bit of food down and his pack slung around his shoulders, Lemmy made his way out of the Great Hall and was on his way. Somehow he managed to make it up a level of the castle, but now he was thoroughly lost. "Oh, excuse me. Oh, apologies." His voice called out as he became mingled in the fray of students traveling the corridors. He had plenty of time before classes started, but at this rate he would never make it! There he ended up with his back against the wall. Being much shorter than his peers due to his half-Goblin nature he was easily over looked. If anyone were to look down they would find him with eyes bouncing around. A nervous smile splashed across his face as he tried desperately to figure out which way to go.

Stepping out into the corridor, Matilde took a deep breath of everyday Hogwarts chaos. She hadn’t realized how much she missed this. She was the kind of girl used to chaos, she even thrived off it.
She had spent so much of last year missing home, but maybe it was time to start anew. The young witch wanted this year to be different. She had gotten her footing, and it was time to learn to dance.
Matilde still had some time before her next class -charms- the very first one of this year. The girl stepped out of the way of the crowd, letting the river of students go around her. Then Matilde noticed a boy, small in stature, standing near the wall. He looked extremely nervous, and at least a little lost. First year, she thought, grinning a bit. Matilde wondered if that was how she had looked when she’d first tried to navigate Hogwarts herself. She couldn’t help feeling a little like it was her solemn duty to offer the fellow a little help.
The young Hufflepuff walked up to the boy, offering him a friendly smile. “Hello there! My name’s Matilde, Matilde O'Fionnagan. You look a wee bit lost… do you need any help?”

Lemmy eased his back into the stones of the castle wall and worked on his breathing. His father had taught him many tricks for calming down when he was feeling overwhelmed and controlling his breath always worked like a charm. It wasn't fear that gripped Lemmy in the moment as many his age probably felt scared in such a new environment. No, the lad was always up for an adventure and new experiences, but the loss of direction had his head spinning for just a moment. However, he remembered his teachings. Much like when one becomes lost out on a trial, panic can be deadly, yet to take a moment to clear your head and rely on your instincts could save the day. Yet much to Lemmy's delight a guide would soon appear to aid him.
He locked eyes with girl as she made her approach. The friendly smile she offered was returned to her twofold as Lemmy's face cracked into a toothy grin. "Why hello, Matilde. A pleasure to meet you, my name is Lemmy LaRue and yes, I am fantastically lost within this great castle." He spread his arms out and let his eyes wander to the ceiling as he gestured around their environment before returning his gaze to her. "I could definitely use some help if you don't mind. One day I will master these winding corridors, but today is not that day. What say you new friend? Have you time to spare for a fellow student in need?" Lemmy asked with a slight bow of his head.
Though the gesture was meant as a sign of respect, his black pointed hat fell from his head and plopped on the floor. This left the poor boy in a fit of giggles as his more formal etiquette dropped and was replaced by his more natural goofy demeanor. With a quick swipe he would retrieve the hat and pulled it back down over his fluffy brown locks. "Fantastic surname by the way. O'Fionnagan...not one I've heard before. Im assuming you're Irish?"
