As Jared-Dean and Anthony led Ruth into Flourish and Blotts, she let out a loud gasp, her eyes wide. Her limited knowledge gave her a small aspect of what the wizarding world would be like and she was slightly worried that one of her favorite things would be alerted greatly. But walking into her first magical bookstore definitely soothed her anxiety. The only word she could use to describe it was amazing.
She quickly made her way over to one of the bookshelves, her fingers gently gliding across the spines of each book she passed, her eyes rapidly reading the titles. Every single one of them sounded extremely foreign in her mind. But she knew that some of these books would aid her greatly in her journey to becoming a great Witch. Ruth smiled to herself and took out her list of supplies and she began to carefully remove books from the shelves, handing them off to her Fathers. There were so many! She definitely knew she would come back here for some of the books just to read for fun. She tuned out the chatter of her parent's voices as she began to leaf through one the books on her supply list.

Andrea stepped into Flourish and Blotts, lips pursed and arms crossed. Out of all the stops she knew she would have to make during her shopping spree, she was feeling much more disdain towards this one than she felt towards the others. Why would she have to spend time looking for boring books when she could be off somewhere casting spells and slaying monsters?
Andrea wasn't stupid, far from it, actually. She was raised on the basis that a wizard was only as good as the books they read. That was the notion her parents tried (and failed, mind you) to instill in her from a young age. She, of course, never applied that notion to her life as much as the long line of witch and wizards from her family that came before her.
She took a minute to glance around and take in the unnervingly large amount of books in the shop, a bit intimidated. The soon-to-be first year looked down at the checklist of books she needed to buy, skimming it whilst tapping her foot in impatience. When could she get out of here?
She decided to try to not dwell on the thought for too long and went for one of the shelves, running her fingers along the spines of the books with furrowed brows. She eventually found some of the books on the supply list, still searching for the majority. Andrea quickly became frustrated and tapped the girl next to her on the shoulder. "Excuse me, miss? Sorry to be a bother, but could you help me out for a minute? I'm a little lost."

It took Ruth a moment to realize that someone was attempting to get her attention. She frowned a bit, slightly peeved at being disturbed in one of the most blissful moments in her life. She looked at the strange girl, taking in her appearance. Ruth assumed that she was going to be attending Hogwarts as a first year, just like her. "Yeah? What do you need help with?"
Ruth glanced around, observing that JD and Anthony were currently occupied in a quiet conversation at a table. She kept looking around Flourish and Blotts, observing that there were no other adults in the bookstore. Ruth frowned even more."Are your parents not here to shop with you?" She tilted her head in slight curiosity. She supposed it wasn't really any of her business, but all the other First Years she had seen today were accompanied by someone older than them. Parents, siblings, aunties or uncles.
Ruth leaned over a bit, peering at Andrea's book list. "We have the same supply list! Is that what you specifically need help with? I already found almost all my books so I can show you where the majority of them are." Ruth straightened up, closing the book she had been going through before. She quickly walked over to the table that held her parents and her books and added that one to the pile before returning to Andrea.
