Exploring the Grounds Closed

Mibs dashed out of the school, racing out of the huge oak doors and haphazardly down the old stone steps of Hogwarts. She skidded to a halt in the grass, pausing to look out on the grounds.

The grassy fields were stretched from the castle to the bordering forest, towering trees casting their shadows over parts of the lawn. The trees acted as a barrier, forbidding anyone to cross them. She supposed the Forbidden Forest was an accurate title, although she was quite curious to see what lay inside the forest.

The lake stood on the grounds, it's murky waters shimmering with sunshine. The waves were gentle and sweeping, causing tiny ripple to bounce all around the lake. She could spot some students already outside, walking around the grounds or sitting in bunches chatting.

Mibs was ready to explore the grounds, antsy from being inside the school ( even though she had only been there for a few days ). She set off at a brisk pace, planning to just enjoy the sunshine and the outdoors. She walked along the soft grass, tilting her head back to stare at the sky. It was very blue, and cottony clouds drifted lazily across it with no sense of direction. She smiled to herself, looking back down and sighing.
