SPECTATOR THREAD FOR QUIDDITCH - MAHOUTOKORO vs. CASTELOBRUXO - SUMMER 2024

When considering the summer games, this was not exactly how Avery imagined her first foray into the London Stadium. The image of the snow covered field was extremely at odds with the summer heat. The afternoon sunlight fights to break through the shifting clouds, bathing the pitch in near blinding light as it bounces off the magically formed snow. One such break in the cloud cover prompts Avery to step forward, bouncing on the balls of her feet a little with nervous excitement.Link to Quidditch System: viewtopic.php?t=7504
This stadium was on an entirely different level than the one back at Hogwarts. And it was always exciting watching the international students play, see some of the different playing styles. "Welcome everyone, hope you're all ready for what will no doubt be an exciting match! We've got Mahoutokoro," she announces, pausing to allow players to time to enter the field to cheers and applause, "facing off against Castelobruxo!" She watches from her vantage point as the second team takes to the field, waiting for the uproar from the crowd to die down some. Keen to get the action started, Avery lifts her hand in the air to signal for the bludgers and the snitch to be released. The quaffle is lobbed into the air. "Let the match begin!"

Mahoutokoro vs. Castelobruxo - Summer 2024
It was not long after Valentin’s own quidditch game for Durmstrang that he would be sure to attend the Mahoutokoro vs. Castelobruxo game. The captain was known for attending all public quidditch matches he could, and he was especially interested in this match that included several of his friends: Ginyami, Hiro, and Sara. Even if the seeker’s previous match had left him utterly destroyed by enemy attacks, Val would insist on attending... even if he had to escape from the hospital ward by hook or by crook. It wouldn’t be the first time he’d have to make a daring exit from such a dull and slow-paced place anyway. He could heal just as well from the stands. He’d always dreamed of seeing how Ginyami would perform as a quidditch player, and now he would get to enjoy such a day in a totally new light.
Either way, Valentin was here to not only enjoy cheering for Mahoutokoro and each of his friends, but also to observe their interpersonal interactions. It was only the day after the infamous Mistletoe Ball incident, after all, and Valya was keen to think more about how each person was faring. How could he support each one in the attainment of their truest wish? The relationships between them all were tangled and nuanced, but Val was never one to back away from a challenge, especially not where his people were concerned. That such an opportunity happened to coincide with spectating a quidditch game was simply icing on the cake.

One match down, one more to go for today. For EmmaLee, this was a little bit more of a middle match as Sara Kohana, her friend from the Spring Ball, and Azul Coyotl, one of her tentmates, were on opposing teams. She still wore the red and white outfit she'd brought from home to show her support for Sara's school, Mahoutokoro, like she'd planned before her friend and her tentmate had been pitted against each other. She could still cheer for both.
Up into the stands again she trudged to the same, thankfully open, spot she had occupied this morning with Yasha plus Kaya in tow. Yasha still followed in his shadowy, silent way, but was much more chipper this time around. Probably because Kaya was here, EmmaLee thought with a chuckle. The girls chattered with their chipper shadow following behind until they had sat down, Yasha, Kaya, and EmmaLee in a row. Watching sports is always more fun when you have someone to enjoy them with, even if you weren't the most interested in the sport yourself so she was very glad that Yasha and Kaya had agreed to come with her to watch two schools they probably didn't care about.
When the teams came out and EmmaLee saw the unmistakable figure of Sara walking across the field, she hopped up and shouted, waving her red scarf like a flag. "GO SARA!!!" She called with a wide smile.
