Ash had never thought she would experience something like a summer camp at the Quidditch Stadium. It was just amazing. Her tentmates, their carnival-themed tent which always reminded Ash of clowns, the fun they were having at the camp...
It almost felt like an ideal dream, but well, it was real. She had spent pretty good time with her awesome tentmates laughing, pranking, making jokes and much more stuff. Of course, it was fun, but she realised something...

Ash had gotten so busy having fun in the Winter Carnival, she'd forgotten about the rest of the stadium.

It was evening and the idea came to Ash suddenly while she was helping herself to some every flavour beans. And there she was, standing outside her tent, facing the various different tents where other students or teachers were staying for the vacation.

A picnic... She thought. Yes, maybe I can have a picnic... alone?

After walking for miles but not really miles, Ash realised there was no spot where she could maybe start a picnic. She just headed towards the stadium seats, snacks clutched in her hands, most of which were chocolates from the muggle world.

Maybe I could see the dusk and those cotton candy clouds...!!
She thought, taking a seat on one of those seats, staring at the open sky.

A sound made her get her eyes off the sky and look around. Ash didn't know what it was, but she looked to her left to see a girl three seats away. Ash was already bored and though it was hard for her to admit, she wanted to talk to just anyone. She knew she was not her at this point but—

"Hey there...!!" Ash waved at the girl, putting on a barely visible smile.

Mari pondered a lot to go to summer camp, she had never gone, and this would be her first year, Mari was already decided not to go, but after receiving the communication from her parents that going would be good for the Slytherin girl, Mari then began to see the positive sides as... being able to go to the Quidditch stadium every day...

She didn't sign up for almost any activity, only one (and only because she was forced to), but even so she rarely had completely free time, with nothing to do, because she spent almost every day on the field, she loved Quidditch, one of the worst news she could receive was the fact that she had to give up because (in her parents' view) it could harm her studies (and could only come back in the middle of third if everything went well).

It was already afternoon, and Mari spent the whole morning walking around the sites of the attempts, but the time had come in her esteemed moment to go to the stadium, but this time she decided to take a small snack inside her bag.

After a beautiful time walking Mari finally enters one of the entrances of the stadium already taking bites with a green apple with the bag on the other side, Mari looks around and notices a girl right in front of her, she looked closer to see if she knew, but apparently she had never seen her, Mari was about to sit somewhere else not next to the girl until the girl looks back noticing Mari and greeting her, t I can't believe it, Mari no longer had an excuse to go sit somewhere else; Hi... Can I sit there; asked Mari, shrugging her shoulders at the same moment as she lifted the food slightly in the intuition of Ya also have food.

The stadium bathed in the light sunshine, making everything look vibrant and full of life. The grass glistened like emeralds and the tents, no matter what they looked like when one gets a closer view of them, all looked golden from the distance. The surroundings weren't too loud, nor was it too quiet there. Ash could listen to the faint sound of people talking, laughing or shouting. And grabbing food and watching the scene from a distance seemed like an ideal summer for the moment, and well, a perfect environment for, of course, sketching. How could she ever miss that? Maybe she could draw the scene and show it to Alex when she gets home, or maybe she could send him an owl eight after sketching. Her brother would love it!

Ash looked curiously at the girl she greeted seconds ago, wondering if they had met. Maybe they haven't, because she couldn't remember seeing the girl even once at Hogwarts, or well, perhaps because she was dumb. That was a universal truth. She saw the girl walking towards her, asking if she could sit there.

"Sure!" Ash tried to smile. Nibbling on her chocolate, she noticed the girl had food too. "I'm Ash by the way," she said. She knew she was awful at holding up conversations but whatever. All she could hope now was that she didn't mess up. "What's your name?"

Mari observes the girl after asking her if she could sit with her, the girl had short brown hair, and pale skin, but also pink, in a few seconds the girl answers, taking a bite of the chocolate "Thank you" Reponde Mari sitting in the place closest to her, with a chair in the middle to put the food in case the girl wanted to eat.

The Slytherin girl didn't expect to have a long conversation that day, to tell the truth she hadn't talked to many people, she had known that her best friend was going to change schools a short time before, and without her there, Mari had even less desire to socialize with people, but maybe Mari could now have a minimally good relationship with someone she met there!

Mari shuddered removing the thought of missing her best friend, introducing herself "Nice to meet Ash, I'm Mari, Mari Wolfson Alves!" Mari says "you're from hogwarts right, I think I've seen you there, I'm from Slytherin" Completes Mari giving a small smile at the end, she puts her sunglasses on her eyes while removing the food from her bag "I have some sandwiches, some coconut drinks and some fruit kebabs, want something" offers Mari, She was very healthy but of course she also loved a good chocolate and a sweet, but she did well only with the healthy!

The girl sat a chair away from Ash and put the food she had on the chair between them and Ash did the same. She could now get a closer look at the girl...She had a beautiful, round, tanned face and brown eyes under medium-lengthed dark hair.

Ash didn't know whether she should be happy or not— she loved having company, but then she also preferred to be alone, because people can be annoying. She honestly didn't know almost anything about herself and it annoyed her sometimes.
But she smiled slightly at the girl since being- or even seeming like a rude human wasn't her thing. Plus, she could bet nobody could ever think the girl beside her was the annoying type. She looked calm, in Ash's opinion.

"Nice to meet you too, Mari!" said Ash in her usual quiet tone she used with people she'd never met before. "I'm from Hogwarts, yes. And Slytherin? Cool! I think I've seen you like once... or twice? But anyway, I'm a Hufflepuff."

She smiled again as Mari offered her her food.
"Thanks! I love coconut drinks and fruit kebabs. D'you want some of my food? They're mostly sweets, chocolate and chips." She put them on the chair between them with some marshmallows.

Ash couldn't ever go without sweets— though her teeth were all right, thanks to her brother who taught her how to keep teeth strong like ever.

M ari listened intently to Ash talking about being from hogwarts as she grabbed one of his drinks and drank until something caught her attention, the short-haired girl was a Hufflepuff... Mari wasn't exactly a fan, in fact, she even found them quite boring, she rarely got to meet any, she didn't have any friends, but she also didn't have any real enemies, she just found them... Boring? That they didn't have enough ambition in fact, "Ah, Hufflepuff... cool..." Mari tries to give a smile at the end, which even made it worse, because it was noticed that it was quite forced, but Mari didn't care much about it either.

Mari quickly drank her drink, while watching the Hufflepuff girl putting hers in too and offering it to Mari, Mari didn't want to be unpleasant, but even though she liked sweets, she didn't feel like it at that moment, that's why she only brought fruit! "Hm... no thanks, even though I also like sweets, I don't feel like it now, but feel free to eat anything I brought, if you want” Mari said, taking a bite of one of her skewered fruits.

Maria didn’t expect to have a great conversation, nor a very active one, so she preferred not to say anything for now, she was taking a few bites of the fruit, grapes, pieces of peach, watermelon… that kind of thing, fresh fruit for a hot and sunny day like that, but something told her that a little tension was about to arise between those two girls…

So Mari was a Slytherin...
WELL, Slytherins were amazing, in Ash's opinion— the cunning ones— or the Slytherins she's met till now were amazing... The only Slytherin she hated was a firstie boy, about to be a second-year just like her this year, who pleasantly started a conversation with her at Madam Malkin's and later called her a mudblood when he realised she was a muggle-born. Yes, he was sorted into Slytherin during the Sorting ceremony. Ash was good enough to act like she didn't care, though, which might have annoyed the boy— to her satisfaction.

But whatever happens, Hufflepuffs were the best of the best! While she told Mari that she was a Hufflepuff, she could see her almost stopping sipping her drink. She had a rather stiff smile when she spoke next...
Anyway, ignoring the different feeling that spread inside her, Ash just shrugged and tossed a marshmallow in her mouth. And well, you won't expect someone to show utter happiness after knowing somebody's house.

Mari didn't really accept the sweets Ash offered— maybe she didn't feel like having them at the moment, never mind. Ash just shrugged again.
Despite the faint noises all around there which might get loud as you get off the seats and move to the ground, there was a ringing silence between her and Mari. As much as Ash loved screams and noises, she adored silence. But at this moment? Nope.

Her mind had gone blank— a common thing she faced whenever she met someone for the first time. But she didn't want to just sit there almost ignoring the presence around and keep eating like a pig, so she decided to break the ice once again.

"Hey, by the way... what year are you in? I'm a first year, soon to be a second year."

And Ash tossed yet another marshmallow into her mouth.

Mari tried to understand Ash's shrugs after Mari's lines, probably Mari didn't say what she wanted to hear, and that might make her lose interest, which made Mari squint slightly as he watched her, but let's be honest Mari also had no expectations for that conversation.

After the hard and embarrassing silence for both parties (which Mari spent snacking on some fruits and looking at the landscape, a landscape that even though she was already used to it in the last few days, it was always special) Ash decides to break it, Mari used to like silence, except in the moments when she got into trouble, or was in trouble, but in this case, even though Mari preferred to be silent on this occasion, it was becoming too a little embarrassing

Mari listens to Ash's question, while snacking on some of her food Um, first year, ok Wolfson thought "I'm going to the third" They said taking another sip of the drink "Did you always expect you to go to Hufflepuff?" asked Mari looking ahead with her sunglasses in her eyes, without even knowing why she did it and also showing herself slightly surprised by the fact that she did it, She wasn't very interested in starting a conversation, but that silence was what came to her mind

Marshmallows were her second favourite thing in food. Even better, chocolate-coated marshmallows... they made her forget everything happening around her, and that was one of the best feelings for her whenever she felt lonely. Well, she wasn't feeling lonely at the moment, but still, it seemed like the best time to daydream—
...Anyway— this was probably NOT the moment to zone out. Or drool, for some reason...
Coming back to her senses, Ash heard Mari respond to her question.
So she's a third year... alright...! She thought and gave a nod. All of a sudden, she realised her sweets and snacks were about to end. I guess I should eat slower She told herself.

Now gulping some butterbeer from her bottle, Ash began gazing back at the scene in front of them, where the sunlight had grown faint. She really didn't have anything else to say now. She had almost expected that the rest of her time with Mari was going to be a silent one. But Mari spoke—
"Did you always expect you to go to Hufflepuff?"

Ash honestly didn't know what that was supposed to mean, but she replied anyway.
"Uhm— I dunno really,", she shrugged. "I think I didn't know much about the houses when I arrived at Hogwarts, because, you see, I'm a muggle-born—" Ash stopped right there. Perhaps she should be careful while sharing her blood status... you never know what the person in front of you thinks of you.
"W-whatever," she began with an awkward smile. "I have this friend called May who told me a bit about them back in the Hogwarts Express but I can't remember deciding a house for myself. I guess I'd have been OK with any of the houses..." She said stupidly but truthfully while stuffing some chips into her mouth. "What about you? Also, want butterbeer?"

Ash looked at the last marshmallow she had and wondered if she should save it for later. She childishly grinned and put it back into the pack to give it to one of her friends.

MariMari waited for Ash to answer her question to which Mari didn't quite understand the point of asking it, let alone Ash probably, but even then there was no reason for her not to answer. After a brief pause, the Hufflepuff girl responds to Mari which made her almost get stuck "Damn Mari, control yourself" She says Mari to herself...

Basically Ash was a Muggle and knew little or nothing about hogwarts before he came... OK, Mari thought about what she would answer even more after her reaction after hearing the answer remain silent would not be an option, but the fact that Ash is already a fool... Mari didn't like it anymore and she always made it very clear, but now to be a fool and come to the selection ceremony with no idea about "her future" there...hm...no...!

While Mari was still thinking about what she was going to say, she then dissided, simply answering Ash's question : "Okay... Hm, well, I do, I'm a pureblood, so I've always cared about these things... and in fact I never had any doubts that I would go to Slytherin" She replies giving some hints to Ash hoping that she realizes herself, at the same time realizing that her fruit was running out and decides to stop eating, but she would continue drinking so as not to stand still.

A few seconds passed and Mari heard Ash offering her butterbeer, Mari liked... But what the hell would be butterbeer with coconut drink!? " No, no thank you I assume it won't be a good mix" Mari says seriously already returning to normal, after the girls' sharing, Mari realized that that conversation would not go well, but that was already preceptible!
